I was thinking Daryl should have also "claimed" Michonne without drawing much suspicion since she's a woman. He could have stood her up and armed her and at least changed his odds right off the bat.

That would have been better. Now that, unlike the randomer with the glasses earlier on, should have been unescapable, at least not without sustaining gunshot wounds. It was a conveniently incompetent group in the end. Joe pretty much handed his own *** to Rick and the other guys did nothing.

And at the end there, what was the point of Gareth making Rick & co all walk separately into the cargo container in a drawn out sequence?

Overall, alright episode, nothing amazing. Sets up what should be an exciting start to season 5.

Garreth put his hand up and asked Rick what he wanted. Then he closed it into a fist to signal the sniper to fire. Rick realized in that second what he was doing and swung around and the shot hit Andrew instead of Rick.

Yeah, the hand signal. Why would Rick kill his hostage? Then again, why would they try to kill rick when they wanted him alive?

Lol, at the guy in the field thing, a-dev is so right. If his leg was badly wounded, then it would have been believable. Also surprised the hunters just didn't shoot rick, when he chomped into the main hunter. He only had several guns pointed at him. "They were in shock' ... Not a good excuse really.

Yeah, the hand signal.

I didn't even pick up on the hand signal until my second watch. I'd have been dead I guess unlike Rick. :lol

The guy in the field, yea, I immediately thought the same. The gap was too large. Only thing you can chalk it up to in terms of trying to explain it would be that guy had ran for so long he was too exhausted to keep going. Like Daryl and Beth in that field when they just collapse.

My friend and I laughed out loud at Rick's final line though. I know it's from the comic but it had to do with the shows set up.

Everything's hopeless. Rick all the sudden makes it sound like there's a plan. Abe even steps forward all curious like what are you talking about man?! Totally thought Rick was about to reveal he set a pipe bomb or secretly spoke to Carol and Ty and had a rescue party coming. Then he's just like "They screwed with the wrong people." Cut to black.

Right at that moment I expected a looney tunes ending where Abe just pushes the black back up the screen like "Whoa whoa. What? That's it? We're gonna die..."

I know they need to create drama, but damn, the military guy should have gone in with his short shorts companion to do a recon while the others were outside the fence. Same thing with Rick, he should have left Michonne and Carl outside while he and Darryl went in for a snoop & poop.

I was saying the same thing to fellow walking dead fans at work today, I totally agree. There would be no harm in sending in one or two people and if all is well they could just signal the all clear, if not they could plan a rescue.

They didn't shoot for the same reason a crowd of bad guys only attack one at a time in kung fu movies.

Btw i wonder who that was in the other containers they passed while being shot at. Just random people I suppose. On TD they asked Gimp if Ty and Carol or even Beth were out there which he sort of mis-interpreted as asking if they were captured too and shot down. He did say there could be "out there" however when Hardwick corrected him on the question so it seems possible Beth may still be alive.

...and then what? Play out the scenario. Rick and Daryl go inside Terminus and leave Michonne and Carl outside. They get captured. Then what? Michonne and Carl rescue them all? I don't think so.

Not singling your post out as there were several others but it is the most recent. Maybe Glenn's group would have fared better if only half went in at first, but Rick's group was way out maundered to make any difference in the outcome.

A,B,&C can be answered when you remember it's a 45 minute show and presenting a "believable scenario" would require more set up than the production team was willing to sacrifice. Sometimes you just need to turn your brain off, suspend your disbelief, and enjoy.
Yeah, Breaking Bad had to do that a lot, as well. Wait...

I don't agree with that. Even if Michonne and Carl couldn't save everyone, it's still a good unto itself that only half the group dies as opposed to everyone (and there's still the possibility of them rallying forces and attacking, killing some of the cannibals with hit and runs, etc., as opposed to being uselessly locked-up). Also, why break in the back door just to reveal yourself right away? What was the point of not just going through the front? They accomplished nothing by avoiding the tracks and sneaking in. I thought that part was stupid. Originally I figured they were going to go for some recon, not just sneak in and then announce themselves.

This for me as well...

...to me Darryl and Michonne should have done the recon and Rick and Coral should have stayed back. Although we know it's not in Rick's nature to stay back.

I assumed once they saw what was going on in that room they thought the occupants seemed fairly normal so they decided to go along.

Also, since Michonne didn't have a gun, not why take Gareth as a hostage and leverage him. He was obviously the leader and pretty close to her from what I remember. Or at least have Daryl focus his crossbow on him.

But why do I bother with these observations, I've been watching for 4 years, I know how it works. :lol

I'm saying that it was better to stay together as a group of 4 rather than split up again. If I am Rick there is no way I risk leaving my son alone especially after he almost got butt ***** the night before. If something bad is going to go down, it is going to happen with my son at my side.

The scenario could also have played out differently with the two who stayed behind getting caught (or killed) by the Termites outside the fence on patrol.

yeah I Agree, How many people went to save Maggie from the Gov? only a handful, and the Gov's group was way bigger than Terminus group.

Michonne could have easily wait for night to fall and try to break them out. Specially if they are being held in a container it would have been pretty easy for her to come in the middle of the night with Carl and try to save them.

I'm just thinking that kind of rescue was done with the Governor already. It didn't go as planned back then but it kind of did work,
I also think they gave away themselves too fast and too easily. How many days did it take Michonne and Andrea to realize the Gov was bad...

That's not true . CC does that as a courtesy as do most cable networks .Its a paid service so it's not govern by censorship . It's the same as HBO,Cinemax ...etc

It's not a paid service to me. I get AMC on basic cable just like CC. HBO and Cinemax I have to pay extra to get.

too lazy to actually go hunt something :lol

Vegans. It's okay to eat humans but not animals.

I have to wonder about the candles and that. I wonder if they're some kind of cult. The one said some of them have been together since the beginning.
