What a powerful tease! Its going to be a rough 2 weeks now. Looks like

They are going to further neuter the Governor and have Negan de-hand Rick! Wow! I figured Merle took up that handicap from Rick for budgetary reasons. Between that hand CGI that will be needed and the Tiger, they must have gotten a raise in the budget!

I don't think what you put in spoiler tags will happen. He would do it in front of everyone. Mis-lead.

I think they said somewhere the head bashing is just the first shocking moment of the episode, not the last or perhaps worst, so I dunno. It would be a costly move budget wise so very likely not going to happen just for that reason.

I don't think that scene will happen, either. Most likely, Negan took the axe to threaten Rick, but not to cut his arm off. The reason I say this, is because Negan seems get off on power, through fear and intimidation. He wouldn't be able to do that in public, for everyone to see, if he takes Rick into the trailer. But, hopefully, the axe scene is just one big troll and nothing more than that.

Daryl is Rick's right hand man. In the clip, Negan says it is hard to do anything without one. My theory is Negan keeps Daryl hostage to keep Rick and his group in line.
