Really enjoyed the mid season finale.

I was pretty shocked with Jesus's death! Did not expect his character to dies so soon. Guess that leaves Tara in charge of Hilltop now.

So any guesses as to what happened between Michonne and the others? Tara turned against her also. Pretty frosty reception on her part when Michonne arrived.

I half expected Negan to pick up the ball and go back in the cage lol. Not really sure where they are going with that character.

They probably don’t know what to do with him either :lol

We're about four deaths from the show changing it's name to "Oceanside".

There are damn near no men left alive.

I have no ideas the character of Jesus in the comic (don’t read) but I feel that he was under-utilized as a character on the show. He had a great introduction to the show and then fell under Gregory’s shadow and later Maggie’s. There were long periods where he wasn’t even on. When he was back on his story lines were below par wanting to “save everyone”. Aside from sneaking out to Negan’s HQ you never really got to follow his adventures. Finally when the pair of Aaron & Jesus seemed to have something going you kill him off.

He mentioned on Talking Dead that he was frustrated with how they used the character. I think a lot of people felt the same as you do, myself included. It would have been nice to see him take over some episodes but it certainly was shocking last night

I agree. Jesus never felt fully explored as a character. But I did like the little bit we got of him.

In the games also (which are set within the world of the comics.. not 100% sure if they are canon to the comics, but they use the comic version of TWD as a setting) Jesus was pretty kick ass..

And yeah, I didn't see that coming. I understand why (shades of Lucille introducing Negan), but on the back of two main cast leaving, it's almost a whole new show vs the war with the Saviours..

So he's definitely dead?
That's a shame, he was one of the more interesting (albeit underused) characters.

I’m assuming so. I didn’t entirely buy it at first, but in the teaser for the next episode they showed a funeral.

Not sure what the actor playing Jesus expected. TWD has always been a show with a large cast and many characters have not really been explored. I found Jesus rather annoying during the Saviours saga, but he would have been more interesting this season stepping out of Maggie's shadow.

Is he really dead though. The blade went through his shoulder no vital organs there!! They never clearly established he was dead just reacted to him being down and out!!

Looked like he was the one slung over the horse when they came back to Hilltop so I'd say he's gone.

Jesus is dead. it wasn’t just a stab to his shoulder, he was stabbed from his lower back straight up. Must have hit some vital organs there.

My son and daughter are old enough to finally watch.

So been rewatching the show from season one. It flows much better when you watch in long blocks.

My 13 year old, os becoming quite the artist, she sketched this while watching a marathon tonight...

I always lacked the imagination to pull off good stylized drawings. I envied it of others. And I bet she could do realistic aswell.
