Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

The one thing I realized while watching the pilot, and the one thing I'm happiest about is that they really captured the spirit of the comic book in that it is truly a depiction of what would humanity would become if zombies really took over.

I was watching the show thinking "This is what the world would REALLY be like if the zombie plague wiped us out".

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I kinda feel bad for those that have downloaded and already watched this, they didn't watch this as it was intended, in HD on Halloween night! I'm gonna do it right and take the Monday after off! :yess:

I'll see your :rock :yess: and raise you another :rock
:rock :rock :rock

Same here, this is easily my most anticipated show of the year. Nothing like seeing zombies in hd lol. It's shows like these that make me glad to have a big screen. One week to go!
I've been watching AMC Fear Fest all weekend and everytime I see a Walking Dead promo I get the chills!

You lucky S.O.B. :monkey2
:wink1:

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

I actually been loving the promos over whats actually been playing on AMC! :lol

Now apologies if I'm reading too much into your comment here, but sometimes people say things that I don't think they meant, and I have to call it like I see it.

Are you pitying me because I downloaded this or because I didn't watch it in HD??

So, those TV critics who have seen this screener already. . . didn't watch it as intended?? Isn't that counter-intuitive, shouldn't TV critics get the best possible viewing experience to write the best review possible. Otherwise, we'd get advance previews like "Man, AMC really needs to clean up their act. The story and acting were excellent but the colors were so muddy and washed out. In this HD age, AMC should not be producing TV shows that look like VHS quality."

Or do you think the critics are smart enough to forgive the less than stellar image quality and watch the TV show for its merits and how well it entertains them?? For me, I'm still highly entertained by old movies in which I can't see the pores on the actor's face.

In other words, get down off your high horse.

:)

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

Ok, haven't been following this thread but has the first episode already aired, or did people just download and watch the first episode?

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

The first episode airs on Halloween. Some people have already downloaded it and watched it.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC

So I get an email today saying that they'll be doing various zombie infestations tomorrow in major cities. I happen to be in Boston tomorrow, and it's one of the cities that the zombies will be making an apperance. But where? Anyone got any guesses where would make the most sense from a viral point of view? I don't know Boston all that well.

More info...

The zombies are coming! The zombies are coming! To tie in with the worldwide premiere of The Walking Dead on Halloween night (which we here at FEARnet are celebrating with "Zombie Week"), AMC and Fox International are letting loose a mob of zombies across the globe. Hit the jump to see if they will be invading your town....

We just learned from AMC that the zombie attacks are truly global. Beginning at daybreak on October 26th, zombies will be released in Taipei and Hong Kong, and move steadily across the globe over the following 24 hours, hitting up major cities and landmarks. Destinations include New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Istanbul, Athens, Estonia, Madrid, Munich, Belgrade, Rome, Johannesburg, London, Lisbon, Sao Paolo, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Caracas, Bogota, Mexico City, and Guatemala City.

Oh and Michael, while you're there can you swing by Boston Garden and burn it down? Kthxbye.

The Boston Garden has been gone for over a decade, so you mised your chance.

He has my blessing if he burns down the TD Banknorth Garden, though.
