Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Bernthal was on Letterman this week (for all of about 5 minutes - Dave has gotten to be a bigger and bigger d-bag as he ages) and he was very funny. I also thought he did a terrific acting job in his final episode, so I'm looking forward to his new show.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Yeah he's great on Walking Dead....the only other thing I've seen him in was Night at the Museum as Al Capone though. :rotfl

I caught the tail end of that interview. Definitely checkout out the show.

Re: The Walking Dead - TV Series on AMC ( Spoilers!!)

Ok, I read through the last few pages and don't have much to add on Shane being good or bad or how people might act. I do believe that most would continue to behave in a manner that would be considered 'common sense law'. I would not go into an vacant house now looking for items for my own home but in this situation I would go into a house and look for supplies for my family. I would pop a gas tank for fuel for my vehicle but I would not even consider that now. There are many things that are illegal now but would have no issue with in that world. Raping or taking an innocent life has nothing to do with LAW-those are things that are written in our hearts. They are just wrong.

On to the last ep. Did anyone else notice that Rick's kid had the gun sighted on Rick before ShaneZombie stood up? The kid was must have been walking for a few minutes in their direction watching what went down.

This is only what we were supposed to think from the angle we saw it at. Kinda like seeing it from Rick's perspective, he didn't know Shane was behind him, but when we do see Shane moving, he's already on his feet. Indicating to me anyway, that Carl was never aiming at his father. Also it seemed pretty clear to me Carl didn't see what happened, he heard the shot and came running.

Agree with Deckard on this one. Don't think Carl was aiming at Rick. He probably saw Shane's body start moving on the ground before it stood up. He pointed the gun at it which was behind Rick so it looked like he was aiming at Rick based on the camera angle used. Done intentionally to mess with the viewers and to build tension in the scene as to what was going to happen.

I agree with half of it. I agree that he was pointing at zombie Shane, but I also think he was squatting in the bushes and while he clearly didn't hear the exchange between Rick and Shane, saw the whole thing.

Apparently, per that radio interview, there was a LOT more of Rick abusing Shane's body in frustration of having to kill him, than was shown. Which also says that Shane's turning wasn't as quick as we thought.

Not so sure. The gun is pointed for a few seconds(5-10) before we see Shane stand. Now he may have been moving to get up but would Carl really believe that Shane was a zombie at first from 10-15 yards away in the dark. Carl would have to have covered 100+yards or so in that time in the dark through grass. Of course Rick could have been sitting there for a few minutes giving Carl time to run there w/o seeing anything. That was just my first reaction when I watched the ep. I also want to take into account the relationship Carl had with Shane vs. (what seemed to me as a disconnect from Rick) relationship with Daddy.
I do agree that the simplest ex. would be that:
Carl heard the shot
Rick was sitting there for a few minutes
Carl came up to Rick, saw Shane moving and then raised the gun
Noticed Shane was a zombie and shot him

I just don't see it that way when I watched and rewatched it.
