That's a shame. I think there could've been some great shots and storylines dealing with a winter landscape.

I was really looking forward to seeing some frozen walkers......although I guess Atlanta winters don't get that cold

we are lucky we are getting the jail at all, with all the budget cuts AMC does for the show

Apparently, you don't understand how television works.

The prison is just like Hershall's farm and presents a stationary location for a substantial amount of the shooting. It's a producer's wet dream as far as saving $$$ goes.

Plus im going to predict that the investment will still be paying off next season as I have a feeling the prison (with the wealth of stories from the comic that take place at or around it) will be around for two seasons.

The budget cuts happened last season, when the show could've easily failed, and lost every viewer it had. It didn't, and is know one of AMC's biggest shows. And most marketable too.

So yeah, there won't be many budget cuts for TWD any more.
