Yeah the Hunters wouldn't venture out to some mortuary to pick people up when they got signs all along the tracks to lead them right to Terminus.

Joe doesn't even seem like much of a bad guy to me. I mean, they could change it up a bit, but for this world, his rules make a lot of sense. A few episodes back, yeah, I was like "woah, these guys are going to be the new 'villains' and Joe is their leader", but now? I'm not so sure.

I kinda like the guy. :lol

I think what we are seeing with Daryl in Joe's group is that he is not and does not want to be a leader. The fact that he is starting to fall in line and follow Joe's group is a bit disappointing to see. I think Daryl has beaten himself up over failing to protect the prison and then Beth that he doesn't want anymore responsibility. He just wants to follow someone else. Right now, it is Joe, but I can't see him staying with Joe and his group once they catch up to Rick.

Joe is a bad guy through and through. His "rules" are the only ones that matter to him. His true colors will show through eventually.

Good point. One of my favorite parts last night was Daryl deciding not to put the blanket over that dead guys body. I think it shows that he's still very much an outsider of that group. Like he doesn't view them on the same level as his normal people. He seems to respect them to a degree, but knows that he can't trust or settle in with these guys the same way he has with Ricks group.

I don't think we will see Beth again until next season. She is probably with that "Gareth" guy that was supposed to pop up this season.

Yeah, I agree. There's gonna be enough going on next week that they aren't going to resolve that yet.

I see nothing but bad when it comes to Joe - right from what he first says to Daryl about why should we hurt each other when we can hurt others (or something like that). Imagine Joe's group coming accross a family or some other small group and they start staking their "claims" (I'd guess that it doesn't end with just food and supplies). Unfortunately this is the kind of group that thrives in this sort of situation.

He could have killed Daryl and taken his bow. He could have beaten Daryl down to "teach" him about their claim rules. When Daryl had his back turned and kept saying he was going to leave, Joe could have shot him in the head and taken his stuff. He didn't.

Now sure, I'm bet the next episode will depict him in a negative light, but what I saw from "Claimed", he seemed like a fair and reasonable guy for this world. If he was manipulative and a cold blooded killer, all of Daryl's gear would be his. Who's to say what Joe would do to a family? Or Rick for that matter? Who knows.

I noted that scene too, but I took it a slightly different way. I took it as a demonstation of Daryl ignoring Beth's advice that everyone deserves to be be treated with respect. I took it as a first step to the "dark side" for Daryl.

Like Nam said, he is just bidding his time. The dude is bad news and I hope the finale is his last episode.

Nam was saying that about Daryl, not Joe.

We'll see. Like I said, I'm sure Joe's character will probably go south and he'll be another "evil" villain character. Based on last night though? He could have been a lot worse and killed our "hero", Daryl.

Yup, Daryl's inclusion in this group is temporary. Though it would be kinda cool to follow the group into the spinoff.

I took it as Daryl being Daryl. That guy tried to **** him over so he didn't deserve it. Daryl's last name is still Dixon. :lol

Joe's a user and saw Daryl as a useful addition to his group. He found Daryl at a low point and used that to his advantage, which is why he keeps trying to convince him why he needs the group.

If you remember when they were in the house with Rick hiding under the bed one of them was talking about raping Michone. And how good a leader can he be if he allows one member to killed for lying?

From what I have heard, the spinoff is going to follow brand new characters in a different part of the country. I would have no interest in watching a series following Joe and his group around (regardless of whether Daryl is included or not) because they are bad guys.

Was that Joe though? Nope. Len was an awful person, and look what happened to him.

NOW, I have considered that maybe, just maybe, Joe planted the other half of the rabbit in Daryl's bag (to frame Len and have the group kill him, in order to gain Daryl's trust). The only problem with that theory is, why would Joe do that? I know the point of this is to test Daryl's character, that's what this marauder story provides. From Joe's perspective though, what does Daryl's inclusion help Joe gain? I mean, let's face it, if Joe is some unstable, maniacal, rapist guy, he should have lost his **** when this stranger (Daryl) bashed him hard in the face with his cross bow (and taken said cross bow). But no, instead he gives Daryl several chances, doesn't beat nor talk down to him and welcomes with open arms. He even seems disappointed when Daryl states (several times), that Daryl is going to go off on his own.

Like I said, who knows. I hate this "GOOD" vs. "EVIL" concept though. It's not always so clear cut. It goes back to Shane for me. He was considered an antagonist, technically, but I never really considered him "bad" per se. Maybe it's just me, but I like when these stories go to "morally grey" places. It's what a survival show should be about. Now, you guys are probably right. Next week, Joe will probably do something despicable. As far as Claimed goes though, I saw nothing terribly troubling. Even the whole "fall together" ideal he has about this world.

Sorry but Tara does not play on Glenn's team. When it comes to women she wants the same thing he does.

She's into women, that was my point. :exactly:

We don't know that yet. Remember Merle?

So who walks into a dark tunnel full of walker noises with limited ammo and a gimpy side kick?

So who walks into an unsecured sanctuary with no one around and drops their guard just because a sign says to put your weapons down?

:thud: :slap :cuckoo:

I kinda think Daryl may be with the right group. :horror :lol

I don't know about a Walking Dead spin off. They should just leave it alone. That's how they messed up CSI and Law and Order.
