Re: The Walking Dead - Now Taking Payments 4 Uniforms - Heads Finished - Read Pg.1

Hey, did Velvet offer any neckless heads? The Hat head I got in has a neck and won't work on the Bruce Lee body.

Hey DP yes he did. I have a neckless with the hat.

1. I suggest you may try to amend the holster like me that I just stick/attach it to the key holder

2. Don't know if it is possible to change the whole arms into Dastan/wolverine arms, since the TT arms joint really mess the figure up:gah:

Thanks El Calvo, he's on a TT Advanced, but the arms were painted to match the sculpts skin tone, and little details like arm hair etc. were added. :duff

Thanks for the tip on the holster Kato, I might do that in the near future! As for the body, I normally can't stand joints, but when I look at the figure it doesn't bother me at all. Besides, the detailed paint work on the arms looks phenomenal in person which gives them an edge over the muscle body arms for me :wink1:

I finally got around to the modification of my BL body. Since I wasn't exactly sure how Kato extended the middle post in his pics I thought this would be a good add on to his demo. Hopefully it will take some of the worry out of pulling apart such an expensive body.

How to extend the middle post:

Tools:
x-acto blade
screwdriver
small saw blade (hack saw)
drill w/3/32 bit
small c-clamp
3/32 metal rod (I used brass)
3/16 styrene tube
superglue
2 part epoxy sculpt

-First pop the arms off at the shoulders.
-Then with the x-acto blade cut down side the seem of the rubber chest piece.
-Pull it off, unscrew the three screws in the lower back section.
-Remove the front abdomen section.
-Then with the saw blade cut the post in half.
-Next drill a hole in the center of the cut rods. I used a c-clamp for the loose ball joint part so I wouldn't drill into my hand.
-Drill as far as you can at least 3/16" down is about where I took it.
- Cut the metal rod to around 3/4"
-Cut the styrene tube to, as Kato suggests, 8mm or 5/16"

-The metal rod goes in the holes:

-Styrene tube goes in between as a spacer:

Glue it together.

If your holes are deep enough and your metal rod is long enough it should hold well. If you want to take it a step further fill it with some epoxy sculpt:

And that's it. Put it back together- screw the screws but not too tight! Just enough to hold a pose.- glue the seams- pop the arms back on. You could fill the open space in by wrapping some fabric around the post or cutting some foam to fit.

Hope this helps.
