My kids have seen LOTR, Spiderman 1&2, X-Men 1, and Star Wars for reference.

Much more appropriate for kids than the LotR series.

Yes, I think so. The only thing children may be frightened of Darkness himself, but there is very little violence and no harsh language or nudity.

If you plan on buying I suggest the recently released Directors Cut 2 Disc DVD.

Question: Does Darkness go through any changes or anything in the film that
Sideshow could pull another exclusive on us? Color? Look? Anything else?

There one scene in the movei where Darkness appears to be black, or in very heavy shadow. Its hard to tell. In this scene he also has green eyes.

Heres a photo capture from the DVD.

I believe that is what SOTA based this one.

I remember being scared of this guy as a kid, many years later I rewatched the movie and just loved the character. Tim Curry was fantastic as the Lord of Darkness, he definitely made the character one of the more memorable villains in cinema history.

So, to sum it up, I bought it because I loved the movie and the character!

In some scenes, I believe they used black lights for illumination to darken his color and illuminate his contact lenses.
