Nah, don't care, I'll wait until they try again in 10 years after realising what they ****** up.I was thinking that, but perhaps they'll wrap up something for Henry's Geralt.

They had a ideology that they pushed back on the day. It was just a different one from today. The messaging is clear and all over the place.
What you are accusing Hollywood of doing today is nothing new. They have always done that.
Difference being you agreed with the old messaging and disagree with the new one so you notice it more.
One of the primary reasons is the vast differences between certain types of media; and then there is also the simpler reason that a lot of directors and producers have their own ideas and dare I say, egos.I will never understand why so many studios buy the rights to something immensely popular and successful, something with a built in audience and then feel the need to destroy everything that made it unique and interesting.... its completely nonsensical.
Just watch any Connery Bond movie the messaging is very clear and not subtle. In fact it’s not subtle really in any of it when I think about it. We are treading political talk here....and what messaging would that be?
Yes ideology has always been everywhere, forever. The difference is in the past any 'messaging' was subtle and the teams behind most successful projects cared very much about what they were doing. The politics didn't overwhelm. Now they do and to pretend things are the same as they always were is just a grotesque lie.
For the record, being gay but also being rather a capitalist I've been stuck in the middle of two extremes many times in my life. It never stopped me enjoying the vast majority of media. Until 2015 came along and everything changed.
So, no, it's not the ideology that's the problem, it's the lunatics who have made those issues more important that storytelling.
It made me wince every time they got hit!The Nilfgaardian scrotum-looking armor was amazing.
True the source material; the wandering sell-sword White Wolf books are terrific (also in comic form), all somewhat ahead of their time, especially all the chaos realm, and (Lovecraftian) conjunction of the spheres elements, time-space dimension displacement, crossed into the sword/fantasy genre, are absolutely fantastic. It's crazy how these no-name Hollywood hacks think they can write better stories than the creator of the widely beloved properties.
I believe Yen's bikini look is inspired by India, so is her "magical movements" as the actress has Indian roots. I saw some article about that. I'm all about a proper representation and diversity, but come on, Yen would never wear these lolWhoever approved Jaskier’s “haircut” should be fired. Along with the rest of the costume staff who thought Yen’s bikini dress was a great idea. Along with the writers who thought this show after S1 was a good idea.
God I hate these showrunners.
I don't see any reason to, the showrunners have no respect for the source material nor their main star who was incredibly passionate about the show and the main reason it was so appealing in the first place. Recasting your main star 4 seasons in instead of putting in some effort and working out creative differences is basically suicide.

Well, they changed a lot, I don't think they could really go back to following the source material.I don't see any reason to, the showrunners have no respect for the source material nor their main star who was incredibly passionate about the show and the main reason it was so appealing in the first place.
