I caught bits and pieces of it. Saw the last half of the Punk/Taker match, and it seemed to draw a lot of heat from the crowd. Not really surprising considering the guys involved though. Was very good from what I saw. The HHH/Lesnar match seemed a'aight for what it was. Main event blew, but that also was to be expected. I didn't catch the opening match, the Jericho match, or the SHIELD match.

Intercontinental Title - Wade Barrett (c) vs The Miz

Tons of Funk with the Funkadactyls vs Rhodes Scholars with the Bella Twins --> Piss break. Didn't happen.

WWE Tag Team Title - Team Hell No (c) vs Dolph Ziggler & Big E Langston --> AJ costs them the win. Sets up Dolph's single-run after cashing in.

Chris Jericho vs FAHN DAHN GOOO

Ryback vs Mark Henry

Randy Orton, Sheamus & The Big Show vs The Shield --> Orton heel turn, maybe?

World Heavyweight Title - Alberto Del Rio (c) vs Jack Swagger - Dolph Ziggler Zeb and Swagger leave a winning Del Rio prone to Dolph after beating him down after the match.

No Holds Barred - Triple H vs Brock Lesnar --> HBK costs HHH the match, setting up the retirement match HHH wants against HBK.

The Undertaker vs CM Punk --> I have no idea. I can see both winning. But seeing as it might be a revenge thing for Taker, he'll probably destroy Punk, sadly.

WWE Title - The Rock (c) vs John Cena

6/9. Took half a point off for Ziggler not cashing in and Orton not turning heel but Show again. Not bad.

Hah, same. The marks over at other forums are *****ing about how it was the worst WM ever and I'm sitting here all alone thinking "I enjoyed it" to myself. :lol

Predictable results but I was entertained.

My only foray into wrestling nowadays is Wrestlemania, so I don't get a lot of backstory to the feuds, which is good as I can just watch the matches independently and enjoy/hate them.

I enjoyed this Wrestlemania, it wasn't perfect and I think a lot of the best matches (Punk/Taker, Jericho/Fandango, HHH/Lesnar) involved people who aren't going to be around much longer, which is worrying, but overall it was good.

Always a shame that they bump a match from the main card (or 2 in this case) and then finish 15 minutes early.

I honestly thought the main event would finish differently, but I can't say it affects me either way, I'm not going to be watching WWE until April next year so....

The ending to the main main event was kind of anticlimactic IMO. Would've been nice if they could have thought of something a bit more exciting and different.

Wrestlemania felt so flat. If i was to read it on paper id be satisfied but watching it was a chore. The crowd felt just kind of " there ". The matches seemed jittery and awkward to watch at times.

Ironically i think the first match was the best match. BELIEVE IN THE SHIELD

Team hell no won?! Hell yes!

I hated that HHH had his career on the line because we knew the instant it was said that he would win. But man Lesnar looked fantastic bulk wise. He would give Mark Henry a run for his money in width.

Rest of the night was meh. I wont even comment on Johnny Curtis going over Jericho

allthough i did find this awesome

Yeah, Lesnar looked like such a beast walking down to the ring. I wonder if McMahon would think more highly of him (and therefore not have him lose 2 of his 3 matches over the last year) if he wasn't wearing those gaudy sandwich logos all the time.

Ever since Lesnar returned i thought that as well as just the MMA shorts he should have an entrance where he is surrounded by a walkout crew. i think it would get the match hyped. Even if they walk back up the ramp and leave after he is in the ring. It looks kind of lonely to see him walk out with his MMA look and just have a short bald fat guy behind him

I realized how important Heyman was last night to the WWE, being involved in 2 of the 3 main events. Glad to see that, because he's such a tremendous talent on the mic. I know there's no love lost between him and McMahon, but he's good for business, no doubt. I would also like to see Vince bring Bischoff back at some point. He was wasting away in TNA last I saw. I wouldn't let that guy run a lemonade stand at this point, but he's a great a-hole heel manager-type.

From what I've read this WM did seem underwhelming.

Now that it's done, I wonder what Raw is going to be like.

What possible scenarios could they come up with.

A. Will Ziggler cash in tonight?
B. Who will challenge Cena for the title? Lesnar or even Mark Henry maybe?
C. Will Punk be there? I read he might take some time off
D. Who will the Shield target now? Maybe the Rock, so then he disappears

It will be interesting what the writers will try to come up with to start the build up for the Extreme Rules PPV.

You aren't alone. I enjoyed it as well. Thought it was better than the last 2 WrestleMania's. I think the main problem with marks is that they can't see beyond their own expectations for the event. I had to laugh at a few of those people calling it the worst WrestleMania ever...and in the same sentence whine that the Mixed Tag Team match got cut Team Rhodes Scholars/Bellas vs. Tons of Funk/Funkadactyls. Those same marks will order WrestleMania next year and whine all over again at how awful the event was.

Really, the only matches I didn't enjoy 100% was Lesnar/HHH and Rock/Cena. It seemed to me that everybody brought their A-game and every match was a treat to watch and didn't need any ladder or cage gimmicks.

Big Show's turn on Orton and Sheamus (if you ask me, it was the other way around) got me thinking... I hope they don't expand The Shield. They really have a great thing going and going all "NWO" with it would ruin the fantastic stable they have right now.

Speaking of The Shield... allow me a moment to gush all over Dean Ambrose. On the mic and in the ring, he's this generation's Rowdy Roddy Piper. Can't get enough of Ambrose...

He is pretty damn good. And I know how good Rollins is from watching ROH (where he was the former champion). I look forward to those guys getting some singles matches in the WWE. . .but knowing WWE as I do, they'll probably stick them in gimmicky tag teams like they do with Bryan and we won't get as much of an opportunity to see what they can do on their own.

Kinda really sucks that Antonio didn't get on the card last night. I think he's the best thing about WWE right now.

I'm not to worried about that tag team match being snubbed too much at WM, because that will probably be one of the featured matches on Raw tonight.

Hoo boy! Hard to imagine folks will get such a match for FREE!!! :panic:

Anyone here remember the huge tag team match bumped from Wrestlemania 10 and then shown on TV?

How long can Dolph keep the MitB briefcase before having to cash it in? I thought it was a year in total, which would mean they dont have long to go until he has to cash it in, or am i mistaken?

It should be a year. But I think they don't make it a big deal about the time frame anymore, other wise they would have said something about it by now.

:rotfl I think you are staking to much into the match if you are serious.

The way the writing has been lately, I see that mixed tag as either build up of two angles

A. Either Clay/Tensai or Rhodes Scholars will be in the running to challenge Team Hell No for the tag titles ( yawn)

B. build up of the Diva's division again with the Funkadactyls vs Bellas. Who knows maybe an Extreme Rules matchup, but I'm not counting on it.

Either way it's a boring angle, unless Rhodes/ Scholars win the tag team titles. Then it could interesting.

Personally I would like Clay to turn Heel again, along with Tensai and challenge for the tag titles.

I'm more looking forward to seeing who will challenge Cena for the title. I hope they come up with an original idea like maybe Brock and not have a worn out or overused cliche of having Big Show challenge Cena again. :gah:
