Hope they search for what really happened in the The Last Jedi film...KK might be an alien :lol

Had a hard time accepting the overall story twist, though it does tie to the Founder's Mutation episode from Season 10.

So basically, Scully walks into the office in My Struggle II, and from that point on, she was passed out having a vision from William to caution her of the future and the whole episode was a vision and didn't actually happen.

I will say, the shocking end twist was like "Whaaaaaaaattttt?" but at the same time, given it was spoken by CGB, who nows how true it will pan out to be or not.

What's everyone's thought on Reyes being turned into a villain?

I had absolutely no clue what was going on. I was completely confounded by that episode.

Also, I was only a casual viewer in the past, so I'm not all caught up with the "mythology" episodes.

Fairly certain I saw the Cigarette Smoking Man incinerated on screen in a very graphic manner during the series finale in 2002. It was done in a way to show "Oh he's REALLY dead...he'll never ever come back!"

And he's back, of course.

in Season 10 they explain that he suffered horrible burns but didn't die, basically alluding to him being so evil you almost can't kill him. In theory he was to have died when Krycek pushed him down the stairs in Season 7.

I blame the "mythology" episodes.

If we were talking episode 2 or 3, I'd say maybe, but you gotta figure first episode, all anyone knows what to expect is a conclusion to a major cliffhanger. I blame weather or other factors more than the content of the episode itself.

So they're looking for the kid?

Yes, something about William's genetics make him valuable to those fighting the apocalypse so the good guys need him to fight it, and the bad guys want to do away with him so there's no stopping it.

There were some alien stories that weren't mythology episodes too. One of my favorites was the one with the alien who plays baseball in the black league.

Then there's this moment which still makes me laugh from another funny alien episode :lol

Interesting episode last night, love the classic X-Files, you think it's resolved but it's not, ending.

It's interesting to think about how much more complicated the world is as these episode touch upon the subject matter, comparing season 1-2 episodes against 10-11 really shows how much the world change in a short period.

:exactly:

I'm really curious to see how Skinner plays into all this.
