Thing statue comparisons....

Howdy folks! Seeing the SS PF Thing got me wondering how it stacks up
against the other Thing versions out there. So without further adieu.....

Bowen FS Thing:

Bowen Mini Thing:

Hard Hero Thing:

Marvel Milestones Thing:

Sideshow Thing:

The thing that surprised me is that they're ALL so nice looking.
None of them is really a loser, but the thing that makes the PF for me is the
scale as I like my statues BIG. The bigger the better - more detail that way.

I have the Bowen FS Thing and had the Mini, they are both beautiful.

I'd get the Hard Hero 'cause it's real nice, but I'm afraid if I do I won't stop with just him.

I love the Marvel Milestones Thing, captures a great moment, I plan on getting it eventually.

The Thing PF...just 'rocks'...get it?

No doubt the Thing PF is superior, but I also like all the others.

I also plan on selling my Sideshow Fantastic Four Bust-o-rama, so that I can create this 'Dio'...

They are all nice in their own way, but I like the SS Thing the best.
The size factor and the fact that it will look great with the PF Hulk.

The Bowen statues look wet to me, and the Hard Hero looks like a cookie dough, while the Marvel Milestones looks like clay. The SS PF could use a bit of heft to his chest area, but we can say this is his lean version. Overall, if Bowen took out the gloss on theirs, and SS beefed up his chest area, then those would be the best looking versions out there.

I like them all as im a huge Thing and FF4 fan. Although I don't like the Milestones version with him in his speedos.

I have all the Bowen FS FF4 Statues except Thing, which i will be picking up one day soon, so this Thing PF will just compliment the whole display IMO.

I dunno - None of them is that bad, to the point where I'd say SS "Pwns" them.

I really like the sandstone texture and flat finish on the Hard Hero thing, but
his head is the roundest of the bunch. A little too round I think.

The Bowen mini looks great, but again, dinky statues don't cut it for me.

Sideshow is tops for me due to the scale, and I certainly don't anticipate any
other companies coming out with anything comparable size-wise.

I have the Bowen full size and its exquisite. I think Sideshow's will be more impressive because of its size and the amount of additional details that can be added to a piece that large. But it doesn't alter the fact that the Bowen piece is still great.

Just realized - I think Sideshow's Exc. PF is the only production statue of Thing ever created with teeth.

Adds to the realism of the piece for me. (as "real" as a 1,000+ lb man made of rock could be)
