I'm loving the Food Network - but damn does it make me hungry. :lol

I like the Iron Chef. The American version is cool but I liked the Japanese one just a tad bit more. But my favorite one is Anthony Bourdain on the Travel Channel. I get a kick out of that dude.

Food network whore checking in......:wave

:wave

I'm really loving "Chopped". The interesting dishes they come up with in such a short amount of time amazes me. Almost makes me want to go through all my cupboards and see what yummy dish I could come up with. But then I remember, I am not a chef, and I order take out. :lol

I love his show, too! :lol

And Paula Dean with all that disgusting artery clogging crap she cooks. :monkey4
Bourdain is like the Howard Stern of the food world.

I find that funny. As if the other ones are cooking stuff that is totally healthy for you.

Besides, she's just showing you different dishes, you don't have to eat it all the time. And butter is better for you than vegetable oil or margarine or some of that other "fake" butters.

Oh, and I think a lot of her food looks great, but then I like homestyle foods just as much as the fancy, schmacy stuff.

Just remember, just because someone throws a lot of veggies on it doesn't make it healthy.

I liked the episodes of Chopped where the judges competed and got to see first hand how hard the comp actually is when you're cooking but also how brutal the criticism from the judges i.e. them is.

Not to mention his shots at Rachael Ray. :lol

:lol

:lecture Don't sell yourself short on your fajitas.

I haven't seen any of his shows - I'll have to check them out. My main problem is I don't cook often...so I rarely have stuff in my house....kinda hard to make anything with oatmeal, black beans, parmesan cheese, chipolte peppers and dill pickles. :lol I need to go grocery shopping more often.

I would love to have seen that. It looks like a damn hard competition and those judges are brutal.
