The Isle of Man. Just watched a short story on this motorcycle race they have there every year, the TT Race, where 237 people have died during the race over its 100 year history. And over the last 10 years an average of 3 a year have died. In 2005 9 participants died. And they continue to have it every freaking year and tell opponents of the race to basically "F off".
You have gotta love a country who lets a bunch of die hard, literally, motorcycle racers come and put their life on the line each and every year to do something they love. Sanctioned and run by the government itself even.
And then on one day they let any dumb ass with a bike, run the same race, no rules, no speed limits. Anyone who wants to can participate. And possibly die in the process. That's refreshing.
In ten years they'll being playing flag football in the NFL so no one breaks a nail.
I love you Isle of Man.
