I almost bought a PS3 the other day, just for Avengers.

Then I realized I would have to buy God of War and Arkham City too. Maybe later.

Go for it. I got the PS3 for the God of War trilogy. I haven't been into video games since the mid 90's but when I played it at a friends house I said to hell with it I'm getting it. The kids love it of course to, not to mention the games are way better than when I played them and keep my old mind sharp. Like clearing the cobwebs. Also if you want to save money just wait a few months and you can get the games on ebay or amazon for way cheaper. For instance there was one game for $59.99 that I really wanted and then 4 months later I got it for $19.99 used but in real good condition.

I played the first two God of War games to death on my PS2. The console is dying now and it hasn't been able to play them in years. I've never played the third one, or the PSP games.

My kids have a PS3 at the house. But they only use it for playing blu rays. So when I get a Sony Blu Ray player for 78.00 from Wal-Mart, I am going to swap it out for the PS3.
