I love the workers of Wisconsin for standing up for their workers' rights! Close the state down!!!!!

Now we just need Ohio to get fired up in the same way!

I don't doubt that, but nothing changes the fact that state budgets need massive cuts and increasing taxes isn't the answer.

Right, but of course this bill doesn't affect the highest paid people, like adminstrators or politicians. Just us working class people. :(

I don't know anything about the Ohio bill (or Wisconsin, for that matter) but I do know that there are a lot more working class salary/benefit packages out there than there are for administrators.

I think Wisconsin was saying they need to make either a 7% wage cut across the boards, or lay off 5000 employees. I agree that the top should share in that pain, but even if you eliminated the top altogether, you still wouldn't have cut what you would by laying off 5000.

Whatever the situation is though, some of the behavior in Wisconsin has been inexcusable, and at this point, I would be hard pressed to give a damn what their situation is.

Well, I'm not going to get into anymore because this isn't the place. But don't believe all the hype that's being put out there. This is basically a union busting move. If this passes, in both Ohio and Wisconsin, it's going to be a mess across the country because all states will follow suit. There's a lot to this bill. One thing I find funny is how it always used to be that teachers and policemen were considered underpaid in most instances, now they're considered overpaid and lazy.

My benefit package sucks btw, but it will be affected by this bill too. My retirement will be $800 a month, no social security. No retirement for me. :monkey2

Go Wisconsin! :yess:
