Just thinking out loud here, but seeing their Iron Man figures, makes me want a Samus all the more.

And a 1/6th Twilight Princess Link would be my ultimate grail figure! :drool

A 1/6 Mario and Luigi would be kind of weird, but Hot Toys has made vinyl figures from Pixar, so they wouldn't be too far fetched either.

And well, they got batman arkham, resident evil, metal gear. I think Nintendo is overdue.

Hey! One can dream, right? :1-1:

EDIT:

If they ever do Samus, she had better be able to go morph ball mode. For real, not as an accesoirre, but fold that **** up and put it in a ball. :lol

It would be amazing. TP Link is at the top of most wanted 1:6 figures.

It's such a shame that so few figure products based on Nintendo's characters are produced.

Just imagine Link and Ganondork from TP princess. Sure, you got the F4F ones, but they don't cut it. I want 1/6 posable figures.

The glory of re-creating a Smash Brother fight on my shelve..

HELL I could use HT Snake figure for it! :lol :clap

The F4F statues are really well done. I have Link on Epona and I'm getting Ganondorf...absolutely.

But a HT quality Link and Ganondorf? poseable? with multiple accessories (hookshot, bow and arrow etc...)...that's a whole nother level...

They did this:

Still bums me out they haven't done Mega Man yet.

From what I understand the Nintendo license is really difficult to deal with. How F4F has it is beyond me and look how long it took for a high end Nintendo figure to come out in Japan: till this year via Max Factory. You're best just hoping for good commisoners doing customs.

Yes, but Hot Toys is also based in Japan so there should be hope right? Or are they Chinese?

Anyway. I will hope. Haven't seen any good 1/6 customs yet of Link or Samus. I think they're too tough to pull off by a non-company..

They're based in Hong Kong, I believe.

If Nintendo was smart they would let HT do 1/6 figures. I would LOVE a 1/6 Twilight Princess Link and a 1/6 Samus Aran! Even a more simple 1/6 Mario and Luigi done like Astroboy there would be awesome as well.

HT seems to want to expand their Videogame Masterpiece series with Metal Gear and Arkham City, so Id think they could look into it.

I think a question you guys should be asking is "would Hot Toys be interested in this license?" In my opinion, I think Hot Toys likely would not see it warranting the huge cost the license would be. Most Nintendo characters are deformed and inconsistent, meaning they would need to make custom bodies for pretty much every release. With that being said, the ones that are more humanoid tend to be less popular, such as the F-Zero franchise which likely would not gain much fan interest (though I would love a 1/6 Captain Falcon and 1/6 Black Shadow).

However, there are two licenses I think Hot Toys would be quite successful with: Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime. Twilight Princess is an obvious choice as it features the most realistic proportions and designs for a very popular franchise. Metroid however is the more logical choice and I could see them loving it. Samus has had many different suits over the years, but not only that, she has had many variations to each suit such as the Gravity one or my personal favorite the Fusion suit. This would give an Iron Man like potential on the franchise and honestly I would be more than willing to have a whole army of Samus figures since I love her and the suit. Also a Zero-Suit Samus would be great.

It'll never happen though.
