Thinking of Picking up the Aragorn PF - I have a question

I found that you can reclaim some of that lost likeness from the prototype pics by just tweaking the paint app slightly.

Thanks everyone for the opinions. I have always liked the Aragorn PF and have been one click away from getting him many times. But I think my problem is I just don't Love it. He is my fav. character from the films (well Boromir actually is) but it just seems if I am going to only own one piece it would need to be something more symbolic like the Gollum PF, which I have also always liked.

That pose of him lifting the Ring is so Iconic and is my fav shot from the film. It just sums it all up. The only reason I never got it is that Gollum is not my fav character and I worry a bit about the size of the statue not fitting in with the rest of my collection.

But I think I am going to take a chance and looke for a good deal on gollum. Thanks again for everyones help.

I'm sure either the Gollum Ex or Aragorn will be well recieved by you. And yes I have to agree, the smeagol body holding up the ring is an amazing pose and represents LOTR as a stand alone piece very well. The only other piece from the PF line that I think does this just as wel is GTG.

fyi just to clear up any confusion, there is no gollum ex. The domestic ex and international "regular" are all the same statue, the only delta is slight color difference on the base and the stamp at the bottom. They are inconsequential. Pick whatever is the cheapest.

Sideshow has it as gift card, so if you just order from them direct it will be $300 - $15 gift coupon - $15 rewards = $270 + shipping, which isnt so too bad given the peace of mind of exchanges/return.

nicely done RC and bill59 brilliant stuff! though i have painted on paper & canvas i am not confident i could touch up one of my collectibles. you both have done an excellent job

^ gagaliya is correct there is NO Smeagol/Gollum EX. i have the International Edition and the likeness and detail is amazing.

I am thinking of getting the Aragorn PF. I have nothing that represents LOTR in my collection and would like to have something.

I see on the Aragorn PF thread that many are happy with the purchase. I am not exactly sold on the likeness. My question is How great or not so great is the likness of Viggo? I know most say it looks better in person but how do you all feel after you have had it for awhile. Do you still love it?

On a scale of 1 - 10. 1 being awful and 10 being perfect what would you say it is.
