Thanos is worth the price tag as long as QC shows up this time. If not, I'll be sending it back....which is another rant I'm about to go into. Apparently, if you want to return a piece because it doesn't meet your expectation, you're still obligated to pay the NRD, meaning it will not be refunded under any circumstances. Now, I get that's pretty much the point of a NRD (it's in the name,) BUT....when you return it because of quality concerns, I don't really feel, as a collector, you should lose your NRD. Case in point, it happened to me recently with Gamora. I was sadly disappointed. They found nothing wrong with it. I disagreed. They agreed to return my NRD this one time, and never again.
So basically, if Thanos arrives with sloppy paint and you're not happy, kiss your $120 good-bye.
They really said that to you? That this is the last time. Wow that's a bit bitchy like their doing you a favour in the first place. Can't agree with you more on standing your ground. If something is off sloppy paint etc they should damn well give back your NRD .

Long story short, I returned Gamora because I wasn't satisfied with the paint application on mine and was generally underwhelmed. I sent them photos of my concerns and after review, they said that 'small' imperfections will be considered normal as long as it is not a major break. Because of that, I was not entitled to my NRD back. After a few emails, they agreed to refund me the full amount as a one-time courtesy.
I understand that these are hand-painted, but I've seen Sideshow's wide array of QC examples, both good and bad. Gamora wasn't one I could accept. They didn't feel that my concerns were grounds for return. This bothered me a great deal because I obviously disagreed.

I ordered her. I think she is going to be an amazing statue if they get the qc right. The detail on the statue is simply mind blowing and I think she will go well with the rest of my galaxy line up.

That really sucks. Yeah, Sideshow's CS, while there are some good stories to come out of it, lately I've been hearing they're more of a letdown and has been poor regarding exchanges/replacements, especially for sloppy paint work on these items that cost nearly $500+ now. As a business, they're making a lot of money but for the consumer, their prices can be a lot to some so we would at least expect high quality few problematic pieces, and while there are some great ones, there are those with defects that they should definitely address and
Yup same here Thanos just practically ***** slapped her of my to get list this morning. Guess she will have to wait because if Magneto gets announced. Jeez my pockets are so damn dry right about now. I've already got Black Panther and Lizard coming from XM with a yet to be up for pre order Iron Fist. God help me lol

Exactly! I have a few coming from XM, too. And future pieces like SSC Magneto, XM Iron Fist, XM Beta Ray Bill, etc ....
May have to settle with getting this piece later.

His not everyone's cup of tea I guess! But I gotta say if Sideshow delivers with Thanos it will be a grail. The prototype looks truly fantastic. But it's the production and QC that makes the bigger difference.

I have a feeling the biggest QC issue will be getting him to sit properly in the chair. Having his arms, feet, ass and back all touching in just the right spots is tough to do I think. Kratos has a lot of issues with that.
Stuff like that could be annoying for the collector. Very frustrating if those things become issues
