Late to the game, but I saw this last night. I thought there were some positive elements to the film, and thought it was a fun movie overall, but didn't think it was all that great and don't imagine I'll go out of my way to see it again. I've been a Taika fan from before he was involved with Marvel, but this is probably the weakest movie I've seen from him.

As others here are saying, the humor usually didn't work for me, though I did chuckle a handful of times (like the fake Mjolnir moving on a string). It was probably made worse by my sitting next to a woman who was screaming in laughter at every stupid thing. And all that is pretty surprising given how great Taika typically is at humor, even as recently as Our Flag Means Death.

The Guardians seemed completely unnecessary and under-utilized, though maybe Taika just felt forced into having them there, and did the bare minimum for that reason. Christian Bale did an amazing acting job, and Hemsworth gave us his usual, pretty terrific interpretation of Thor. But nothing else really jumped out. Story was pretty lackluster. Eternity was used in an odd, throwaway kind of way. Was nice seeing the return of
Sif
, who I hope sticks around in future movies in a larger role. The mid-credits reveal was underwhelming, even for someone like me who knows that character pretty well.

It feels like Taika might have lost his mojo on this one. It happens to the best of creators, but maybe it's time he moves on from the blockbuster superhero thing and focuses more on smaller, independently minded comedy movies.

I’ll say this for Love and Thunder. It makes me appreciate Endgame.

One of the big problems is this film didn't have Loki in it.

Guardians should have stuck around the entire film. Thor vs Starlord is comedy gold.

The less Tessa Thompson the better. She was tolerable in small doses in Ragnarok, but the entire "I'm Too Cool And Hip For All Of You" Fem Power thing is too much in bigger scenes.

Natalie Portman is just a bad actress. Stunning visually as always but can't do drama, can't do comedy, just plays herself over and over.

You replace the great acting of Anthony Hopkins and Tom Hiddleston with Portman and Thompson and this is what you get.

This is what I think gets lost in translation - It's OK to have a woke film if it's a good story and it has good characters and good writing. It's not OK to have a woke film for the sake of being woke at the cost of a good story good characters and good writing.

Natalie Portman is not a good actress. Jane Foster is not a good character. Should say something that the series was uplifted in the film she was not a part of and Foster disappeared. The writing around Portman/Foster was never done well. Portman and Hemsworth have absolutely no chemistry at all.

Very very meh. One watch and I have no desire to see it again. Marvel is hit and miss after Avengers Infinity War. Yeah I'm including Endgame as a miss.

Still haven't seen this but a clip I watched on youtube was indeed very meh. I was looking forward to it but I suspect this veers too much into the ridiculous. Might end up agreeing with JAWS.

This was hugely disappointing. The humor fell so flat. The goats were really irrating. Thor's new costume looked awful. Bale as Gorr the God Butcher was a let down. I'm actually okay that he died at the end as I have no interest in his villain. The only part of the film that I liked was Portmans arc. She was cool as Mighty Thor.

I'm glad I saw this on cheap night and didn't pay full price. The glory days of the MCU are past us I think.

I finally was able to get around to seeing this movie. In all honesty, it came across as a spoof film where the directing and dialogue was so bad, it made the acting terrible. That scene where Sif has had her arm cut off and Thor tells her she can't get into Valhalla because she survived the battle...just such bad dialogue and acting there. It was cringeworthy to watch.

The scenes where Stormbreaker is jealous of Mjolnir was just over the top. The goats with horrible human screaming was ridiculous! The whole Zeus/God meeting was terrible.

Just way too much shoved into one film. I had no problem with the Jane as Mighty Thor storyline, but it was all too rushed. Gorr seemed totally wasted, never really seeing him battling all these Gods, just the aftermath.

I would have to say I think this was my least favourite Thor film. It just came across as far too stupid.
