1. Captain America exclusive had an ES of 850. Never saw the light of day on the Second Chance. It also commanded a price tag of 280. 55 bucks cheaper than the Thor PF, but it's still not a cheap item. Thor has 350 less exclusives going for it than the Cap has, and more people who are on that waitlist for this item vs. the Cap. The regular may very well may make Second Chance status, but the exclusive won't. Nothing more to discuss. This is mostly directed at the Mike. :banana

We have a lil' friendly bet going on who will be right. He knows deep down, I am. :D

The Thing EX has an ES of 750 and is not selling out on Second Chance. This may be why there is a low ES on Thor. It could go either way.

Personally, I'm with The Mike.

Comparing Thing and Thor is comparing apples to oranges. Other than there being a "Th" at the beginning of their names, that's as close as they get on aftermarket similarities.

Regarding the ES....well, this is the same Sideshow that comes up with mystery 2nd exclusives like Thing with pants and Negative Spideys. Not to mention giving Mystique a higher ES than Thor.

None of it makes sense so just roll with it. :D

WOW! Did you just compare the Thing to Thor? Thing PF had no hype behind it and no offence to some, but most don't care for the PF.

I did, man. I'm crazy, who knows what I'll do next !!!! :horror

You never know, I got on the waitlist for the long sold out Hellboy Exclusive Samaritan about a month ago and it converted yesterday. Sure the ES is 850 but I did not think anyone was going to cancel with the really cool exclusive included…waitlist conversions for Thor I could see but second chance is very unlikely.

2 words...plastic grips.

Are you serious?? Boooooooooo!!!!! My waitlist just converted yesterday also. I thought it wouldve been all real metal and wood for the price and the weight! (27 lbs I think) Thats kinda cheesy :(
Yip they changed it from wood to plastic a while back.
Its still metal as far as we know but they changed the handle so there must have been a lot of cancellations, people dissapointed i guess.
x :peace

EDIT: Heres the thread discussing it

Elaborate, please.

Thing PF, and this is all in my opinion of course, has 3 things going for it:

1. "Companion" piece to Hulk PF
2. It's a big sculpt
3. A decent/nice sculpt

Now, when compared to a top tier character like Thor there really is no comparison. Like him or not, he is in the same league as Hulk, Cap, IM, Spidey and Wolverine as far as being a Marvel icon.

If Thor comes up on second chance I'll be tempted to get him. I'm not really a Thor fan, but I know once the movie comes out I'll regret it if I don't have him. Well at least I will so long as the movie is good.

Whether a movie is good or not, should not having a barring to owning a collectible. The FF4 movies were cinematic crap, and yet everyone wants and is paying through the :moon for a Doctor Doom PF. Buy it because you like the piece.

Stop encouraging me Eli, I convince myself to buy too much on my own. I don't need help. :lol
