Poltergeist?? ET???
What the hell is wrong with you people :lol

lulz

But I have noticed that Thor 3 is so good and memorable the thread has been taken by every other movie :lol

Welcome to a world of 6 superhero movies a year.

:lol

Nah.. Riddick's inability to recognize a good or bad film is legendary in these threads ;) ;) :) :)

Okay then, name a better mischievous little creature feature. Go ahead, I'll wait. :wink1:

What there’s plenty..... like ummm... ummm....

:lol :lol

Six days after Ragnarok's release: "So how about dem 1984 Gremlins?" Lol

Thor 3 has left a nice taste in my mouth though at least it ended better than Logan.

No NO NO NO!!!!! Poltergeist is still great... You need to take that back right now!!!

:lol

I actually like Poltergeist -- but I like the quiet moments between the family, particularly Mom and Dad. They were great.

Titanic is Below average Romance melodrama... With typical Cameron Blue photography and typical Horner music

Never liked it.

Total buds! :duff

It is funny because of how cartoony, ridiculous and cheesy it is and you can tell that was the intent.
It's a parody of the action movie genre and it self, cone on. :D

It was Way to early to be a parody of the Action movie Genre... At the time there was Rambo and....... Well Rambo.. Arnold was just one uping Stallone. Commando and Rambo were responsible for the Action movie genre.. Come on :)

I dunno, maybe that's just me as a fan of SWS speaking...
Every time someone mentions E.T. I just can't not think of how cool the alien could've been if Spilberg wasn't a *******.
I also hate child acting and the story creeps me out.
Meh.

Ok I am drawing a blank.. SWS = ???

Interesting that the story creeps you out.. First time I have ever heard that.

Ok, THAT is def a fanboy talk! :lol
Horner is no worse than Williams.

Ummm I like Horner's work.. But there are are parts of his score that are indistinguishable from each other.. Any time he has a danger theme it is the same four beat horn tune.. Most easily heard in Star Trek 2 and Aliens, Willow, and Troy. Not too mention his annoying Pan flute that is in almost all his scores... But he really rips himself off... Granted Williams has Heroic themes... But No way are you getting the score of Raiders mixed up with Star Wars or Jurassic park... But Williams in his old age has lost a step or two and just became boring.. :(

I own Aliens, Star Trek 2, Star Trek 3, Braveheart, and Mask of Zorro soundtracks... That is really all you need of Horner's music...

This is very interesting take of film composers and self plagiarism. It;s all great but go about halfway and listen to how Horner has really ripped himself off.. John Williams is shown to do the same after the Horner clips.

I love the family in Poltergeist... I agree they are my fav part... Craig T Nelson is the bee's knee's :lol Very realistic family and very much reminds me of my childhood.. Accept for the ghost.. :lol

I have those plus Willow, Titanic, Apollo 13....I think that's it. I know he repeats stuff (well, 'repeated' as he is sadly dead now) but I don't really care. I manage to still love every one of those scores.

Nothing wrong with that. I use to own willow also. Don’t care for the other scores but that has as much to do with the film itself as the score.

I read the last several pages and no one's talking about Thor 3? Is it really that forgettable?
