The sleepy time bit was funny, but otherwise nothing that MOS didn't already show us....

To be fair most comic book movies showed us pretty much the same thing. Id still like them to continue lol. Alien invasion? Check. Big bad cgi baddie at the end? Check. Heroes vs heroes? Check. While typing this i just couldnt hel but notice what wonder woman said in the last JL trailer. "Together". Isnt that the same as cap in aou?[emoji23]

Why? Don't read it. :dunno

Dont click / read

LOL I haven't touched a single issue of Empire in over ten years. But, one person not reading it isn't going to change the fact that, much like Rotten Tomatoes, Empire essentially predetermines what films are and aren't worth watching and as such the public could miss out on something good if they base their opinions on Empire's reviews. I'd go into more detail but SNIKT's thoughts about Rotten Tomatoes (I can't remember which specific thread they were in) basically echo my thoughts about Empire.

Nah i know what ur saying. Its pretty much all reviewers in general actually. But that will never change. Its the audience that has to not follow them blindly like that. Bvs was a perfect example. That got crapped on left and right. I still went opening night. Wasnt great but surely wasnt as bad as they said it was. Also the opposite. They praised the living ***** out of CW. Best this best that. Thats just e recipe to leave the theater underwhelmed. I did enjoy it. But was it the BEST? I dont think so lol. As for Ragnarok. Seeing what we got in 1+2 this has me very excited. Looks like a fun and crazy ride

If a film goer is interested enough in seeing a movie that they would seek out reviews and opinions, I would think they would do so in order to gauge where their expectations fall against the final product but would have enough interest already to still see it for themselves. If they are easily swayed by someone else's opinion, so be it, those opinions shouldn't be silenced to ensure people go to see the film, if anything, opinions swaying people not to go results in the overall attendance being more indicative of who actually was really interested in seeing it and not so much just casually going cuz it's the thing to do. I spend a year or more anticipating films quite often, I was very excited for Kong Skull Island and no number of negative opinions i read or heard prior swayed me in anyway from seeing for myself and I ultimately disagreed with them. I have always felt isolated in the movies I enjoy, often liking ones a majority seem not to and I don't care, I respect their opinions and I use things they say to fuel my own personal analysis, but I make my own decisions for myself regardless of what anyone else thinks.

Its especially rewarding when films are panned for weeks/months leading up to it, you go anyways, with maybe a bit lower expectations and ultimately you enjoyed it lol.

I don't know anyone that was swayed by Empire into seeing or not seeing a movie. RT yea, but not Empire. Come to think of it, wgaf about magazines. :lol

Yep and then Batman says "Just like the old woman says." Probably written by the exact same guy too, lol.
