Did you really think you would get a negative reaction around these parts? Slap the Marvel logo on it, film it, and you have a winner around here. :lol

I plan on going to see it this weekend. :rock

Really, thats not true at all.

Just got home.

You have to possess no soul if you don't like this movie.

It is now my favorite Marvel movie with Iron Man 1 a very close second.

The IMAX was sold out, so very awesome.

Let me tell you, and this is coming from someone who has logged many hours with 3D and video technology is my biggest hobby.

The 3D conversion was very well done and it added a nice depth to the movie.

I never thought I would see Thor on the big screen yet here we are.

He will be awesome in the Avengers!

Marvel should be proud of themselves for this one, huge redemption after IM2.

Glad you liked it JYE.

Redeem themselves for IM2? No, not at all. Maybe still for Ang Lee's Hulk.

Glad to see it's getting such good reviews! I personally thought IM2 was okay--not better than IM 1, but also not as terrible as some people seem to think it is. And I was pleasantly surprised at how good Incredible Hulk was. So I'm glad Thor is another Marvel hit. Can't wait to see it!

I, however, have very very low expectations for Cap.

Thor was BAD ASS!!!!! Really surprised how much I like it given how bad it could have been in the wrong hands. Stuff like Norse mythology can come off really cheesy if the storyteller doesn't do it just right. Thankfully Branagh understands and hit all the right notes to make this a winner. The cast is great (especially Thor and Loki) and Hemsworth is a GIANT! I have never seen anyone who looked more like they walked off the comic book page onto the movie screen. Highly recommend and I'll be seeing it again, at least two more times.

Seen it once, now with wifey today, she's excited to see abs that i'm missing plus the love story :lol

Oh, she also said she wants to see Thor kick ass :yess:

She will not be disappointed :rock

Ok ok, i'll admit that redemption wasn't necessary after IM2 :slap

Lets just say an improvement in cohesive narrative then shall we :lol

I'll let it go just this once. :lol I kid I kid. Sorry I was a bit of a ____ for hammering my own feelings. :1-1:

Not at all sir Josh :wave

Lets enjoy a frosty Ale in celebration of a Marvelous week shall we :viking :duff

All hail the mighty power of a Thor-a-lishes weekend, even if the box office take will be less than Fast 5's 83 million opening weekend just last week :horror

I enjoyed the movie.....I still like IM better but for the character this was really well done. Hemsworth and Hopkins were fantastic but Hiddleston owned Loki. IMO he captured the essence of the character down to the movements etc.

I have two gripes 1) I thought CGI was weak in spots and 2) Thor's helmet. Anyone who seen the film knows what I am referring too. A solid 7.5 / 8 out of 10.

What the fact that it is only in the movie for 10 seconds?

I can't say that I was disappointed or blown away. Thor was ok. I definately liked Iron Man better, but it was still entertaining. Maybe my expectations were too high, I dunno. I thought Hemsworth was a good fit for Thor and hiddleston was alright. I'm not one of those fans either that likes to pick at everything that isn't true to the source material. Maybe I'm just spoiled by actual decent superhero movies that they just don't shock and awe like they used too. Still worth watching, wish I hadn't seen it in 3D because I felt it sort of took away from the experience.

just came back from thor.
it was awsome. the fight with the destroyer was my fav part.

still think iron man is the best marvel movie.
still a great movie.

cant wait for captain and green lantern.

Saw it !!! Now, this is a great Blockbuster summer movie!! It's just a tiny little bit under the 1st Iron Man to me.But much better than IM2 and incredible Hulk.Hemmsworth is probably the new Brad Pitt if he chooses his movies wisely.Hopkins was the perfect cast for Odin of course, as you would expect of him.And the guy who played Loki was the revelation in this movie for me.Bad ass summer movie.Pretty sure I wont like Cap America as much as I enjoyed this one.Kenneth Branagh's Asgard is breathtaking.

Recommended all the way.9/10

Now I wanna take a walk on Bifrost.
