threezero's reveal of their Matrix APU vehicle has brought renewed hope that we may see a quality line of The Matrix 1/6 figures. I emailed them and while they have nothing to announce yet, they hinted there would be more Matrix items to come. Fingers crossed!

What are your thoughts? I like the quality of their Game of Thrones and Walking Dead 1/6 efforts, so they'd be the next best toymaker after Hot Toys to do it.

(Star Ace are doing nice things also, though it seems threezero has picked up the Matrix license. I'm glad someone has!)

There is no 1/6 human figure category yet. My guess is its not happening. HT had the license too and didn't do 1:6. I'm starting to think there is an issue getting the 1:6 license.

I've said it before, but no one wants to believe me. The actor likenesses are not part of the Matrix license. They expired 5 years after Revolutions. That was what I was told by someone who pursued the license with WB.

That seems so stupid. They can still make characters from the Terminator films after more than 25 years, yet somehow the Matrix license doesn't include the actors likenesses? What a ridiculous deal that is. There isn't anything remotely interesting to own from The Matrix films except for the characters.

Sad if that's true. The explanation given by HT a few years back was that there were too many bootlegs out there - which I would've thought would been a sure sign of pent-up demand for the real deal!

Yes, and they paid an ADDITIONAL fortune for Arnie's likeness rights.

Rights can always be renegotiated, particularly when there's obvious demand and money to be made. Never say never.

If we finally got Batman '66 merchandise anything is possible!

Oh, SNAP.

I don't want to that guy, but I still have to say Hot Toys would likely do a better job on the human characters.

Hot Toys doing better job for human characters, threezero still not have quite track record unless threeA robot stuff. Tyrion looks good meanwhile eddard stark looks pretty awful. I trust Hot Toys more, no brainer for Matrix Hot toys

Not into POP Vinyls but since there next to no memorabilia from this franchise anymore I'll probably buy the whole set.

I hope 3A can get the license.
