100k a mould your dreaming, even 40k your dreaming...

In 2008-ish, $40k could buy you a 1/6 scale body mold. Nowadays, it's probably closer to $50k.

But all this mold talk is irrelevant, threezero has kindly let us know ahead of time that Ghost is made of resin, which is not made with steel molds, but silicon molds , which is much, much cheaper. In any case, $30 is a fair price for Ghost, considering most people are charging around $60 for a unpainted resin headsculpt.

That's a lot of silicone molds and a really laborious process. Wonder how many units they'll make, probably not more than 1000.

Wondering of anyone here has the darkhorse jon snow and ghost sculpt. Trying to decide if I should get that or this figure and if that stat is compatible with this line. I have the Tyrion and Ned already but ghost looks much better in the stat. Hope I can decide by Friday.

Will they just leave it open for X amount of time for pre orders on the ex and then make that qty, or do you think they will cap it and only offer so many

I would estimate no more than 300. I don't think they're selling THAT many direct. I think the fact that they're already saying they're making it via resin, means they know they're not going to sell that many.

Any more than that and you're right, it becomes a fairly laborious process. But me pouring Ghosts one by one in my garage is a lot different than a Chinese factory ganging them up and pouring 10 at a time.

If they made anywhere near 1000 Ghosts, it would most definitely be more cost effective to make via PVC and a steel mold.

Smart to solicit this guy the same day we get shipping notices for Ned. Double the excitement for 3zero GoT!

Yeah, $190 for a complete, weathered figure, accessories, and rather large Ghost extra is a fine deal, especially considering the quality of threezero releases so far. My only hope is that they tweak the headsculpt a little (probably with paint).

Also, I forgot to comment my appreciation that threezero didn't make Longclaw the EX item, so yay for threezero.

Just saw this pic on Twitter. Is it old? ImageUploadedByTapatalk1431488392.917837.jpg

The size will not change. The paint on the eyes likely will. Threezero don't make any Lord of the Rings figures and don't have any affiliation with any company that does, AFAIK.

$160 for Jon Snow WITHOUT Ghost and $190 in a 2-pack with Ghost (this is the exclusive) - both available 9AM Hong Kong time on Friday May 15th.

Cool that we have options. Jon with Ghost is bought. I think they look great.

I think Snake Eyes companion is a tad taller then the wolf next to Snow.
They look fairly equivalent to me (keeping in mind that Ghost's posture makes his head come up lower than Timber's):

Actually, as I'm thinking about it, Ghost would make a pretty perfect stand in for a 1985 figure-type Timber! Much better than the one that came with the diorama.

I think Ghost looks fine for an early season version of him. If we wanted a current sized Ghost, that would probably make him double in cost.

We hardly even see Ghost in the show at the moment either.
