This is getting sketchy.

You've never ordered anything from Hong Kong or mainland China? That's how they roll - for small/retail packets anyway. Not the same when buying skids or containers full of product, IME.

Yup... Anything you order from eBay or OSK will usually be marked like $2 for envelopes, small boxes, or those plastic bag shippers. I think Ned was marked $25. I don't think it's sketchy. I don't think the U.S. even has import fees, but it's nice to know they're looking out. I'd hate to pay more fees on top of what I already paid.

The sketchy thing is why the hell I should pay tax on shipping that's payed for half around the world. I'm not a company, I'm a private person. I can almost understand the rationale for paying customs and tax for the merchandise but 25% sales tax extra for something I've bought from overseas is sort of insane. The fact that the shipping is also supposed to be taxed makes me question the sanity of it all and now I don't want to pay taxes at all. That's what overtaxation does, you just get fed up and try your damndest to not pay any at all.

I don't cheat on my tax return or anything like that, but if I can falsify an invoice or two for a toy or whatever I have bought on the internet I make it a point to try to avoid paying a few extra bucks.Tax on shipping is the same as if when I take my car over the border, customs agents first check the fuel meter so when I pass over the border again if I have filled up with gas I get to pay sales tax for the amount of fuel I have purchased in the other country. So stupid.

I suppose it might be the same even in countries that pay much less tax than we do, but here there is a huge part of payments for all kinds of items and services that go untaxed, everything from the pizza you buy on friday night to the carpenter and other handymen that builds your house are off the books. Now there is a tax reduction on house cleaning and various stuff like carpenters and it has worked since a lot more of those things goes on the books so paying a little less tax actually works out for the better.

Shipping is part of the purchase price, therefore subject to taxation. The same is true here in Canada both for imports as well as local sales. On eBay, shipping is also subject to final value fees and the reason for this may have similar motivation to the tax laws. It would be very easy to declare the value of a product at $2 and then put the remainder of its value in "shipping and handling" thereby evading fees. Tax or levy fees against the whole thing and it's the same result for everyone. "fair" as they say. ;)

If you're complaining about 25% , its almost 85% in brazil

That doesn't sound right, checked and some economy site said 19% which I guess is among the higher in the world, but still you're 6% below us here in the cold north.

There is sales tax (VAT) and then there are possible customs duty and extra fees to pay for the "service" they do to take more of your money, but the big part of the problem is the sales tax since they add duty and handling and then they add 25% on top of that, so actual cost I pay is more than 25% of the original value as well. The point is the chinese deviously puts a low value and it just dances through without any problems and I'm happy. I do think that swedish customs have relaxed a bit, there was a time when they opened up individual packages with cd's and stuff and actually looked up on the internet what the value was and then demanded a corrected invoice from you.

I remember in the early 2000's when I ordered a $2000 laserdisc player from HK, oh my. :slap

Luckily for me they have decided that there are much more important things they could do and stuff they could try and stop at the border than cd's and stuff with a value of $15. That is actually one of the only things (cd's) I still order from the US in large bulk indiscriminately without fear of customs or tax nowadays. I remember around ten years ago there was a news piece on tv about the postal service and their customs agents where they proudly stated that you couldn't even buy a cd and get away without paying tax. I guess someone higher up thought it looked bad or it's the fact that the sales of cd's and dvd's and stuff have plummeted in the last years so there isn't any money in having payed people so thoroughly go through the mail for $10 a piece in tax.

Sorry for the long text, but this stuff makes me upset. :)

Anwe, don't forget that absolutely every taxable item you also buy in person from any local store in your country is also taxed the same percentage. Also, with regards to extra fees, those go to the shipping carrier or their agent who clears the paperwork through customs. This service is of course also taxable. :)

I'm painfully aware. I personally, generate lots of tax every day even though I don't have a particularly high income compared to the median (or medium?) income. On top of my salary the company I work for pays 31% in what I can only call labour tax, don't know the english name. That same salary amount I get deducted 30% in income tax on. So the company pays and I pay, but I don't lose 60%. Everything I buy is taxed by 25% at least. Groceries are lower and takeaway food. But many things are more expensive, for example gas for my car is taxed with 60% carbon and energy tax, that is of course before I pay 25% sales tax on the combined amount so you can do an experiment and calculate how much combined tax we pay on gas. I rent a parking space for my car when I'm at work sales 25% tax is added on that. There isn't as far as I know 25% sales tax if you rent an apartment, but commercial spaces has 25% on top of the rent.

I could go on and on (even more) about this, but then I will get severely depressed and hurt myself and tomorrow is our national day as well as the day of the Champions League final and I want to be fit for fight for that. :lol

Its 19% on sales, then there's service tax, financial taxes (7%) , import taxes (60%) , and handling charges. It all adds up. Try buying something on ebay and having it ship to brazil. Also, they charge everything on top of the total price, item + shipping. Ask any brazilian collector.

Anwe, It's pretty much the same situation in Canada except the percentages are different, including payroll tax payed by employers. Though basic groceries have no sales tax at all, packaged/junk items (like chips/crisps) do. Prepared foods (like at a restaurant) also do. Liquor is taxed about 100%, beer lower, but there is also a minimum price, so even small breweries can't sell for the price they want necessarily if they want to try to undercut.

Threezero have been very good about announcing when the pre-orders will be taken down, so if you don't follow them on Facebook, not to worry, someone will also post that info in here when the time comes,

I ordered the exclusive yesterday, but received no email. Checked the site again and it says "awaiting payment". I need to go through the process again, right?

Yes. You'll need to click on the pay button to the right side of your order.

All the posts about missing the payment have left me a little paranoid. I ordered now and payed via paypal. I got the confirmation e-mail from Threezerostore and a confirmation from paypal that the money was sent. When I look at my account at Threezero it says awaiting payment, but local time is after 19:00 so I guess they've gone home for the day. This is how it's supposed to work right?

i was looking today at the BigBadToyStore.com - Toys, Action Figures, Vintage Toys, and Collectibles there they have it for 145 bucks i think i might get it from there i would like to get it with the ghost. might just look around and see if i can get something close to ghost what i found that might work is the wolf called LUPA that comes with FLIRTY GIRL 1:6 CRIMSON but you can get the wolf 'lupa" by its self for like 35 plus shipping .if i dont get ghost lupa will have to be a place holder for now

$145, then you have to pay shipping. And that wolf that comes with Flirty Girl only goes up to her knee, looks like a pup. By the time you pay $35 plus shipping for that wolf and then for Snow, you're better off ordering direct from Threezero.

^Yeah. I mean even without shipping that's $180, only $10 less. With shipping it'll probably be over $200. Plus, the wolf is smaller and having to make two different purchase is just unnecessary. People really seem to stress over these exclusives and try to find ways to supplement it with another, usually inferior, item. Unless you just don't have the money up front. Then it's understood.
