The puppy sized Direwolf 'Ghost' previewed would be disappointing as an exclusive. I would pay more for a BIG version that looks like a creature of myth....not something similar in size to my American Akita! :lol

Exactly. Ghost ought to be his current size on the show ... which seems to be a little smaller than a horse. Maybe donkey-sized?

And I'm really hoping any version of Ghost they do ISN'T articulated. Or maybe just has a little head/neck articulation. It's TOTALLY fine with me if he's a straight-up statue. Articulation would wreck the sculpt, in my opinion.

That wouldn't be cool since this isn't season 1 Jon :( ...

Pretty sure it is. Season 2 tops.

They've already shown a Ghost sculpt, so if one comes around with this release, we should expect it to be that one. What was shown is not articulated, so expect it to be polystone/resin like Custard the Labrador from the 3A Adventure Kartel Line.

All the relevant production photos are in the second post of this thread - I wouldn't leave you guys hanging.

if past threeA release with animals are anything to go by(which may not be since no ash involvement with 3zero) but those have always been non-articulated and made from heavy polystone material. edit- what Pixelpiper said! :)

im not that picky on the likeness i would buy as is, its the character represented on my shelf im interested in, i see the character now so im good. but for the sake of those wanting a better likeness i hope its improved. im sure like with ned it will be, or better paint ap will please more etc.

True, the Ghost sculpt they showed was a static piece, but that doesn't necessarily mean they won't go the articulated route. That Ghost was clearly an in-progress prototype and I think typically articulation is designed and cut into the sculpture at a later stage. So it could still be happening. Even though I'm really hoping it doesn't!

They might also be deliberately keeping him small so he'll be less expensive to produce as the exclusive. Which makes sense. Though personally, I would pay more for a full-sized Ghost. I'd even buy a big Ghost as a stand-alone release. (Even though that's never going to happen.)

I don't really have a problem with the Ghost in that old origina teaser. I don't think he's that small. :lol Anyway, a static figure is the way to go and I have no reason to believe they'll do otherwise. Poseable 1/6 wolves and horses are ugly and clunky looking. Like I said in the earlier thread I think it would be cool if the Ex. was a 'ready to pounce' snarling Ghost, while the regular was just the neutral Ghost on the workshop table.

I think ThreeZero would be wise to do animal sets down the road. Perhaps one animal and an alternate costume for the appropriate character associated with the creature sold.

Ex:
Ghost and Wildling John Outfit
Drogon and A given Dany Outfit

This could even extend to accessory sets if no accompanying animal is available for a given character, as there are costumes that look cool, but might not be worthy of a front page rerelease slot. In place of animal X with outfit Y, do accessories ABC with outfit D.

Nah, I'm completely sure this is season 2 and onwards Jon, in the first season he used a very fugly white fur.

I know that old table pic, I'd be happy with a season 2 Ghost, they used dogs in season 1 for the direwolves and Ghost was the least wolf looking :lol Let'ss just hope the direwolf isn't as brittle as Tyrion's book was...

After this week's premiere I want

A Bow for Jon Snow.

Ghost grows within 48 hours when you put him in water.

:lol Have to be a big bowl!

Definitely no articulation for me either. I don't mind it on the figures as the clothing hides the joints :lecture

Still, not long now before we know for sure.

Looks like this particular sculpt may be one of those that look better from certain angles than others. I say the sculpt looks better on those work table pics than in the teaser. Anyway, i hope a shipping notice for Ned is soon. :rock
