Yeah, I was disappointed with Jon, too, when I opened the box. But if Hydeous' repaint is any indication, there's a great sculpt under that factory paint. It looks fabulous! (Note to self: Get mine repainted.)

But I believe they'll re-do Jon and Tyrion (and probably Danerys) in different outfits down the road. GOT is even more enormously popular now than it was when they released those first few figures. And it only figures to become even more massive with the final season. They'd be crazy to miss an opportunity to cash in on that. (Especially since they've already done the engineering work for the specialized Tyrion body.)

That said, we ARE talking about 3Z here, so who can really understand their decision making! :lol

Very true. They sat on Walking Dead for so long I gave up and I am not going to start collecting it now even though it is my other favorite show besides GOT and Negan looks pretty good.

I almost skipped this line because I didn't think Ned was a good character to start with but glad I jumped onboard when I found him and Tyrion for a steal on ThinkGeek. Can't believe they were going for under a $100 with their site-wide discounts. Now I order them all direct thru 3-0 with the exclusive item. I wish they would have done a gold arm or at least something for Jamie. Wonder why they skipped the exclusive on him.

You think Jon is going to wear Targaryen armour all of a sudden? I don't really see that happening tbh.

Same here. I see Jon dying in the middle of season 8, no way he ever calls himself a Targaryen. I believe Jaime will be the one who kills the NK.

Threezero just announced a whole bunch of stuff, sadly nothing GOT related. Bummer.

Gold hand might be for the the next Jaime figure with the Lannister armor.

Tyrion is great but you are not missing that much with this release of Jon. It is the only figure in the line that I was disappointed with when I opened them but I was really disappointed. I said to myself "Who/What the **** is that?" The Dire Wolf looks stupid too.

Love the rest of the line, it is not worth passing on it over lack of Jon.

Yeah, but the quality of Jon’s outfit is unsurpassed. That was the whole reason to buying him to begin with. Even the best sixth scale tailors wouldn’t touch that. You’ve got to buy with asset/value ratio in mind ;)

Of course, I only ever buy with customizing in mind anyway. I don’t want anything simply “out of the box.”

Except the gloves and boots are a tad too big on him. Anybody else offering a slightly scaled down boots and gloves again by any chance

Oh, definitely. I wasn’t talking about the boots and gloves. Those were atrocious. When I purchased Snow for $150, I already knew the boots, gloves, belt, sword and portrait were going “bye bye”... :)

His mixed media outfit, however, cannot be duplicated. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if ThreeZero lost money on that MSRP, which is probably why they threw in a crappy Ghost and charged $50 more to help close the red margin.

How many figures does ThreeZero produce for each character on this GOT line?

I was always curious what the profit margins were for a $200-ish figure. If you don't buy direct from ThreeZero, the distributors have to take their cut too. Then you have to factor in all the R&D, licensing fees, etc.

I noticed with the Asmus Lord of the Rings 1:6 figures, a couple of my boxes had a production run of 1,250. I know 1:6 is still a relatively niche market (catered to older collectors with lot disposable income), but that seemed like a really low number to me.

The exclusives in their site are limited by the number of orders they receive during the PO period, their business model seems to be working for them though.

IMO Threezero and ThreeA have the best price-quality ratio in the market, while their headsculpts are sometimes regular (Jon Snow) their true strengths are in the weathering and outfits and when it comes to monsters and robots no one beats them.

Jon and Tyrion are my favorite characters. Without them, I'm just not interested in the line. I will say that I've seen them all in person and the most impressive figure has definitely been the Hound. Excellent work, throughout. Was tempted on getting him, but still staying out of the line unless I'm able to snag the other two for a good deal.

I totally understand. They are two of my favorite characters too. I bought two extra heads for Jon to customize myself when I get around to it. I got one with full body, boots and gloves attached from Monkey Depot for $39 but paid a dollar more than that for another head this year just to cover myself in case I mess it up.

Jon's costume is really well done as posters above were saying but when I opened the box the fumes were insane. Not sure what they used on him but it smelled like they weathered him with kerosene.

The Hound is amazing. I cannot bring myself to put him the detolf yet as I like posing and messing around with him so much. I honestly really like Jamie too. I don't think he got the praise he deserved. Definitely took the head sculpts of this line in the right direction, especially after Jon.

Yup. I also think The Hound is the best of all closely followed by Tyrion. I like and share the mindset of "all of them or none at all" so I hope you get the figures you want eventually.

This line sure has had a curious life: for the longest of times figures like Jon and Ned were shelfwarmers and then suddenly became impossible to fine. Go figure.

Definitely looking forward to seeing your custom sculpts! There have been some amazing ones done as well.

Thanks! I hope I'm able to find them, perhaps in a couple of years, when interest has died down some and some people move on to a different line.

I've got the head, sword/belt, probably an extra set of hands for Jon if you can't find one, maybe you can piece it together. Not sure what's on EBay or Toy Anxiety for loose pieces but sometines they show up.
