I've seen people remove all the flaking crap and repaint the base with Angelus leather paint. Pretty good results with low impact on the figure.

Also, if the pleather can be saved or has not started flaking too bad, you can coat it with Mod Podge. That will stabilize the pleather.

thanks - i’ll have to try that on mine. should be salvageable, i pray..

I probably should have detailed my predicament a little better. It's not just flaking in the traditional sense but whole pieces of the detailed pleather is becoming separate from the under part of the tunic. I think I may just have to buy a whole new one if I can find it loose. But thank you for your reply.

2 new figures in their JJK line ‘leaked’ and they’ve been teasing a revival of their Berserk line so I’d expect a major news blowout of sorts soon.
