No announcements or appearance at Comic-Con? Bummer
I agree. I liked Sideshow's Baroness 1/6 but I think TZ could make a great improvement on her face sculpt and do an upgrade like they did with their Firefly Vs Sideshow Firefly 1/6. Fingers crossed it happens sooner than laterDefinitely bummed we didn't get a reveal of any kind for future figures. I know I'm in the minority but I didn't really care for Sideshow's 1/6 Baroness. Didn't like the headsculpts, felt the shoes/boots were oddly shaped and a little oversized and didn't find the underlying body all that great, at least not for Baroness' typical shape. Would prefer it if TZ did it more like sideshow's PF rather than the 1/6.
That said, I'm more of a Joe collector than a Cobra collector, so I was/am looking forward to Lady Jaye if she still happens as well as Duke.
If you are spending more than $150 on any 1/6 figure, you have problems. If they made a hot looking Baroness 1/6 (better than Sideshow's) she would sell even to non Joe fans, based on her S and M outfit and beautiful looks. They need to at least do Destro and Baroness and Cobra Commander for a Cobra line up. The problem with Roadblock is, they made him look about ten years too old and they need to make fabric outfits instead of plastic. The Joes are a toucgher sell as they look more genric. No one wants to buy two figures to collect ie Firefly and Storm Shadow. At least give us some beautiful Cobras and people need to support TZ if they do instead of whining about prices. If you can't buy a $170 1/6 fig you have bigger problems than worrying about buying toys. No offense to all of course. I've been there and back many times in life. I'm still keeping Firely from TZ as he looks right out of the comics and even looks great as a stand alone
Cool. It was due for release here in the 4th quarter. More bothersome though that they sure go a long time between these little 2-figure pods of solicits.
We'll agree to disagree since apparently you haven't looked at Sideshow, Blitzway, Hot Toys etc 1/6 prices in the last few years. If only we lived in a world where you made the 1/6 pricing rules. If you find 1/6 for less than $150, good on youIf you are spending more than $150 on any 1/6 figure, you have problems.
Someone did a post on the Gi Joe Reddit thread and had their TZ with the SS Joes. They actually all looked great together. I'll keep my TZ Firefly order and am hoping if they kill the line, they'll at least make Destro, CC and especially Baroness first before pulling the plugCool to see it released. Still looking forward to inhand reviews even though I’ve pretty much given up on this line. I’m not sure I’ll go through with the Firefly order. I’ve nearly bought all the Sideshow figures I’ve wanted except for Firefly, Baroness and the Cobra Viper. Not sure how the 3Z Firefly would look with the Sideshow Joes.
I would argue that the second SS Sideshow is the best followed by the TZ Cobra and Joe versions and in last place is the very-dated looking SS from 2009 that Sideshow did. TZ would win first prize had his chest been fabric and not a plastic piece imoYep… what a waste of money on the SE and SS… the sideshow version was far better and the hope was they would no a lot more figures creating a secondary line… now it’s just the same old same old snake eyes and done
Agreed. The biggest drawback is the use of so much molded plastic IMO. 3Z Storm Shadow would've been the best one had the chest, arm wraps and leg wraps all been fabric IMO. Not to mention my version of Storm Shadow couldn't even hold his arms at 90degree elbow bend. That said, I've actually aquired the original Sideshow Storm Shadow, gave him the V2 Snake Eyes muscle body with a white, padded HT body suit and he looks much better than the 3Z version now to me. Of course, stock he looks sorta lame b/c he's so thin and the shirt looks very oversized on him. It's crazy though how much all the original Sideshow figures still go for though.I would argue that the second SS Sideshow is the best followed by the TZ Cobra and Joe versions and in last place is the very-dated looking SS from 2009 that Sideshow did. As consumers, we do make the rules. Here's what I picked up over the weekend:We'll agree to disagree since apparently you haven't looked at Sideshow, Blitzway, Hot Toys etc 1/6 prices in the last few years.
