Isn't that the common place with 3A/3zero. All of their characters have seemed a bit off or exaggerated in their proportions; especially when Kim/Ashley sculpt women.

That's different, cause those figures are stylized characters. But for a movie figure I'm expecting more realism. I hate Square Enix for the same reason.

Ashley Wood has no affiliation with this toy. This is threeZero, and unlike 3A operates without his input at all.

Does ThreeZero provide figure stands with their figures similar to Hot Toys?

I think people are being way too harsh here. Perhaps fans are just mad they had the nerve to do a remake at all. But the reviews seem to be pretty decent for the new film. I'm looking forward to it and these figures.

Fundamentally yes and I too was disgusted at first. However I saw it yesterday and I think its a better film.....

.....than a lot of people are going to give it credit for.

Did I fool anyone with that? :D

You're fooling no-one, lol.

I'm a fan of the original.
I *wanted* this to be good.
It suffers from the "Remake for no reason, with a worse story than the original" syndrome.
The suits are painfully cool on screen. Well, the silver one is. With the silver one, you can see all the hydraulics in the midriff and there's even an element of "Cain" when you see the pistons in there at work. The black one looks like a guy in a rubber suit, lol. Still cool. But the Silver one was clearly totally CG over a blue mo-cap suit, and the black one was a guy in a rubber suit.
As for the movie.
If you like it. That's fine. It's only eye candy. If you examine the story, there's no point to the remake. It adds nothing to the original except some better effects.
There is no progression of story.
In the original, Murphy was erased in the original machine. He had to *rediscover* his humanity throughout the movie. That's why at the end when he says "Murphy", it meant so much.

In the new one, they put Officer Murphy in a suit as a PR exercise to sell robots in America. He's always Murphy and has no character arc.
Everyone knows he's murphy and he's only once or twice referred to as Robocop.

There's no clear bad guy.

There's little to none of the self deprecating finger pointing humour of the original.

It's a mess.

In my opinion of course.

First does anyone know when either of these robocop marks are being released???. Just curious.

But on the subject of the movie itself I'm simply astonished so many robocop fans hate this movie so deeply, this film has received an unusual amount of hate IMO. I understand that remakes have always been met with harsh critics and always will be, especially when the source material was done exceptionally well the first time as in the case of Robocop. But how the heck can anyone on here treat this remake like some unworthy abomination unfit for the robocop name. Even if they tried to this remake couldn't have bastardized this franchise anymore than it already has been. Come on Robocop 3, prime directives, STING in a freakin cage. Even robocop 2 was just ok at least when compared to the original.

I really like where they went with this new movie. They made it there own and respected the original enough to not take to much directly from it. The remake also answers many relevant questions. Why bother puttiing a man in a machine? What will this really do to the man and the world around him? The remake isn't perfect, but it does so much right and reaks of sequal potential IMO. idk I'm gonna step of the soap box now, but I just think it sucks that people took a chance and reinvented a movie they clearly loved just to be blindly dogged by the people they were most eager to please. I'm not directing this at you a-dev or anyone else who just simply didn't care for this film on its own merit.

I went to see the film on saturday and thought that it was excellent. It has a good plot, great action and acting, and unlike the original we get tonnes more character develoment of our protagonist. The suits for the movie were cool, especially the flip down visor, and new improved internal hud for murphy. Getting the figures for this is definitely on the cards for me (lets hope they make the bike too - that thing rocked!)

Later this year, once everything will be finalized and ready for pre-order – threezero will update their Facebook with info.

I concur with you about the movie, I liked the direction and it was very tough to top original movie and they had a lot to live up to.

You guys are getting me excited. I can't put this off anymore. I'm going to see the movie tomorrow. After that, I will look forward to the pre-order. :yess:

I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures at San Diego Comic Con this year.

Don't forget to Tell us what u thought of the film mate!

I thought this figure was on display at the STGCC earlier this month, but I could be mistaken. No other company is making a high-end, black-suited RoboCop, are they?
