It's not the sculpt its the paint...or it may be the lighting. I just looked at that side by side with the old one and the old one looks like it has some shadowing or something. So this one may just have too much light. Looks kinda like a Sean Connery ventriloquist dummy.

THIS POSE DOESNT GO WELL WITH THIS SUIT..LOOKS LIKE A GAY WEIRDO DOING A DANCE MOVE.

You Kurgans sure have a way with words... :lol

Oh, yes, and Bannister :rotfl

Since it's a PF statue, I'm not interested. However if Sideshow ever does this version as a 1:6 figure, He's got to come with the Jetpack he used in Thunderball.
It's the exact suit he wore during that scene.
Since Sideshow has a tendency of not repeating identical costumes in different formats in the same year, I unfortunately think we'll have to wait even longer for a 1:6 Jetpack Bond. :(

I don't have a Bond PF. I am thinking about getting Connery to display along with a movie poster on the movie cabinet next to the one my John Wayne PF will be sitting on. So I have a preorder in for this one. I hope I can keep it.

Well, the body was not perfect in the first place, esp with the "dancer" banana shaped torso and withered arms, except that the combined form of the figure all "worked out" appearance-wise with the black fabric on the original statue. The lighter gray just painfully shows these drawbacks even more. Connery had a pretty beefy torso and I thought it was an economic issue that made them chintz on the polystone, but just look at the punisher PF. I wonder if they ever involved Bond fans in the design process, because if they did, it doesn't look like it.

All things considered, I would say this sold out fairly quickly.

I think the 2 piece limit helped him sell out quicker. There are probably several who ordered 2...

This would have been a nice time to update his name plate to an oval, like the other Bond PFs.

If they had done that, there might have been a lot of folks who ordered it just to swap bases and have the tux figures all the same! :rotfl
