Guys keep an eye on the S.H. Figuarts News from SDCC! I can't share the details but there is going to be a new character announced and it looks awesome! :)

I won't be happy until I have a Figuarts Ace Duck.

It all depends on the sales, if Turtles sell well enough they will continue the series. TMNT is not that popular in Japan so it is all about US and EU market. I personally want to finally get the classic April in her classic look!

If they look as good as their turtles? um yeah, they will sell. People have been waiting for Classic cartoon TMNT figures.(Playmates won't do them)They would be crazy not to go Big with this line. My personal pick is Casey Jones which I believe is the reveal at SDCC

revoltech's turtles did well enough over there to get a new press of the 4 turtles so i don't think figuarts will have a problem with these. plus they should be available in the states unlike the revoltech turtles.

anyway, im excited to see whats in store for sdcc from figuarts. it feels like it is taking forever to get here.

Well...in the 1/6th turtle wars lol, I think Dreamex is close to victory. That Shredder is astonishing. From what we've seen of Kraang and Casey they look great and now we see a full painted Leonardo and he makes all the other 1/6th turtles either look inferior or like straight up action figures. Mondo's are comic accurate but they just look like sized up toys. These are the real deal. I think the key is making a look that would work for fans of all the various toons and movies and these do that.

I like that these DreamEx turtles look like the 2K3 designs, which I have a soft spot for, but as for the ancillary characters--indefinitely prefer Mirage or Fred Wolf, and not a new interpretation. That, and the FigureArts guys were like $60, whereas these are about 3 times as much.

My sentiments exactly. The DreamEx turtles have a more broader appeal to the fanbase because it seems to draw its inspiration from various turtles incarnations. I'm hoping the overall quality is on point because I'm already loving the nice blend of 2003 design with 80s/90s toon elements.

I'm thinking we need more pictures of dreamed turtles before I buy them. Shredder looks great. Will look great in display case. Turtles look decent. Need more pictures.

Yeah DreamEx are definitely the best ones in my opinion. If you look at Casey and the Turtles, they seem to be just taking the designs from the first toy line and amping them up (Shredder and Krang more toon based however)

I had both the NECA & new sideshow turtles on preorder, after seeing the DreamEX line so far, I cancelled those and am collecting this line. The size is on point with the rest of my collection and like many of you have said its enough of the classic look with a little bit of the new mixed in, absolutely love them.

Some more pictures of DreamEX Turtles found on FB.

Just noticed that the toes are jointed, I hope they change that cause it does not look good. And IMO it would look better to have the knee/arm/wrist pads in the same leather as the leather belt. But the look is starting to grow on me.

And just like that, I'm sold...at least on Leo. May get the others, depending on price.

EDIT: and yep, they seem to be a stylized hybrid of 87 and 2k3 Turtles. Still look good, though.

Wow that is the most modern looking 87 tmnt I've ever scene. Again why can't the movies do this? This is a perfect representation of new and old. Even the belts have initials.

I have to agree. This design would look great in a movie.

because they are not just any movies but michaelbayformers. made to have 10000000 unnecessary dumb details to substitute a designing talent.
michalebayformers! you don't know what you just saw and how many of that things just flashed on the screen.

I might be the minority. I do like the look of the DreamX stuff but I don't love it. I can appreciate it but I dont need the toon designs reinterpreted into realistic figures at any scale, nor do I want a blend from OT, 2K3, movie, comics to make the "ultimate" version having pieces picked from each iteration.

It's been said many time that it's a great time to be a turtle fan and there's lots of options. I'm glad that there's options because if DreamX were the only ones on the block I wouldn't be a happy turtle fan.

I'm thrilled about NECA and think their Henson turtles will be hot. Despite the price I also think Figurearts turtles are about as toon accurate as we will ever get and I hope that line brings us lots of OT characters. I don't want them dipping into other iterations either. I can understand them wanting to tap into the Henson movie turtles but really hope they don't go that route despite having hinted at it. Stay focus on the toon.
