The panel lining really brings out the cartoon of the figs.

I wonder how Mattel Classic & Bandai turtles would look like panel lined.

and i wonder why Neca mainly sell the turtles in events. copyright issue? or they felt only real fans deserve them.

It has nothing to do with copyright issues. All that constant talk over years and years about Playmates (the master license holder for the Turtles) not allowing any companies to sell 6"/7" scale Turtle figures at retail is BS. Neca just likes to mess with us fans by not putting them on the shelves of every Toys 'R' Us. Playmates have stated many times that they'd love to see superior 'adult collectors' TMNT figures "competing" with there (ages 2 and up) kid friendly figures in stores. But alas, NECA loves to play games with us......making there non 1/4 scale TMNT action figures convention exclusives only.
:exactly:

Not true...Neca can only make 6" TMNT figures as convention exclusives and that's a fact

You're saying they'd pass up sales/business just to troll TMNT fans?

poor guy. now everybody will comment on his mistake and feel cool.

anyway i check ebay on Ninja Turtles SDCC, lots of Game version coming from Hong Kong & China, knowing they are only Exclusives in US, those are probably fakes.

but seeing there isn't really any other way to get it, many folks probably bought it.

just wondering hows the quality. i know the comic TMNT were pretty difficult to spot, you need to know in details to be able to spot them. The Mattel Classics were easy to spot though.

Prime 1 turtles: biggest fail of year?

Hard to say. People who have seen them in person say they look great. I keep pulling up the Sideshow page to order them, but I just can't ever bring myself to do so. Raph's face in particular bothers me. Not too keen on Leo's, either.

Seems hard to believe that someone else, if Prime 1 can't pull it off, will do any better. The NECA faces are really good, but statues and figures aren't really the same, and don't have the same effect.

Keep telling myself that this set is going to be my last hurrah in statue collecting, but the set just doesn't satisfy, at least not based on the photos.

Well, if you are doubting this much wait a couple weeks for more inhand pictures to come in. By then the threads/backlash should calm down a bit and focus will shift to opinions and pictures.

It's called sarcasm lol - I was being facetious to the doltish question. Apparently that kid wasn't being a smart aleck, they've just been literally living under a rock for many years now. It's the ones who replied to my statement that lack common sense lol. And franpincho, stop talking about my *** please.

Nah if anything sounded like you were throwing a tantrum over their availability. Which is understandable I guess. As teemu mentioned, you wouldn't be the only one to make such a claim.
