Top 31 Bad Ass Star Wars Moments

I loved the list...even the Anakin parts. When Han cuts open the Tauntaun on Hoth, that blew me away as an 11 year old. At that moment I realized the tone of this film was going to be radically different than ANH. The grief myself and my friends had at school for Han was tremendous. That was all we could talk about for months. The only news you could get back then was from STARLOG magazine, or Famous Monsters occasionally. The wait for ROTJ seemed to never end.

I kind of felt a responsibility to make sure I looked at the prequel moments as unbiased as possible. Like many people here, I much prefer the OT and had the impulse to pretty much put all OT moments.

But I realized that the prequels really do have some awesome individual moments in them.

One badass moment that I'd definitely include in the top 10 is one that's often overlooked:

When Han is being tortured on Cloud City Lando and Boba Fett wait outside the door. Lando is obviously unhappy and glares at Fett from two feet away. Fett casually turns and meets Lando's gaze, and stares him down *while wearing a helmet*. Lando turns away first. An awesome moment for Boba Fett!

Some others:

1. Vader talking to holograms of Star Destroyer captains in the asteroid field. While Vader is speaking, the bridge of a Star Destroyer is obliterated by an asteroid. The captain screams and his hologram winks out and *Vader doesn't even pause his sentence* to acknowledge that a high ranking officer and entire ship were lost. That's cold....

2. Vader fighting Luke one handed during the beginning of their ESB lightsaber duel.

3. Han shooting the Stormtrooper in the face on Endor.

4. Lando navigating the Millenium Falcon at full speed through Millenium Falcon-sized cracks in the second Death Star.

5. The crack shot AT-AT driver who takes out that fast moving snowspeeder right before aiming at Hoth's shield generators.

6. Luke taking down an entire AT-AT on foot.

7. Anakin's no-look over-the-back lightsaber deflection of the blaster bolt in the Mustafar bunker right before he turns his Sith eyes to the camera.

8. Anakin jumping off the structure going over the lava waterfall and landing on the tiny lava droid.

that WHOLE SCENE was badass, no other way to look at it. The whole chase through the asteroid field not only pushed the boundries of special effects, but also managed to make people hold they're breath throughout the 3 and a half minute sequence. Not to mention before that, Han nearly causes the collision of 3 Star Destroyers!...

OT Moment-How about Vader marching thru Echo base with the Imperial march playing?
PT Moment-Grievous " Back away, I'll deal with this Jedi slime myself".

I'm just a fan of SW.
PT OT it doesn't really matter to me.

The number one on the list is a great choice, not exactly the most bad ass moment, but is certainly the most PIMP!!
