Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & (coming soon) BATMOBILE.

That silver exhaust is just so odd to me. I don't know why they don't color correct it hmmmmmm............

That's true.

A question/concern about the Batmobile: is it just me or does the paint seem 10x better in the promo shots of the Batmobile than the SDCC pics?

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & (coming soon) BATMOBILE.

I am with you on that man. The paint on the promo is way better than what we all saw in SDCC.

But I did talk to the people who work at Toynami and they told me that the car that they had on the SDCC floor is the car that they travel around for shows and conventions and stuff so it's been handled like many times.

So I guess we will see when the actual car arrives in hand.

Another guess is also that on promo shots, photoshop comes handy to touch up photos too so maybe that's why it looks so super shiny and nice.

The Batmobile that we gonna get is actually based off the BATMAN RETURNS paint scheme, how it's not dull and more shiny.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I almost wish it was based off of the 89 Batmobile because I think in a detailed room the dull would work better than the gloss. I am hoping that what they told you is correct though, because that show one does look like a school of preschoolers went and put their hands all over it :)

One thing to keep our hopes up: if it turns out as well as the Batwing, we'll have nothing to worry about. Can't wait for mine to come in this week!

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & (coming soon) BATMOBILE.

I have faith in Toynami/CM, because of all the crazy delays and all that, it has to be for a good QC reason. So yeah I am sure it will turn out pretty pleasing like the BATWING did and the cowl too.

Here are some pics I scoped up.
SEXY SEXY SEXY !!!! hahahaha

With a few paint mods, this thing will be perfect. I already got myself all the paints that I need hahahaha.

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & (coming soon) BATMOBILE.

For which part ? The exhaust ?
The exhaust supposed to be dark and not silver at all.

where the fire comes out i agree, but the 4 pipes in the back , two on each side, those are (not silver per say,) but more of a metal look , plus the side exhuast, have some metal to them as well, and this mirachrome will give it the metal look to them and not just silver paint look.

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & (coming soon) BATMOBILE.

But doesn't chrome give that reflective look ? Coz I know they are not reflective.
They are supposed to be light gun metal color.

You can see the color closely after the batmobile stops after the factory explosion scene.

We need a Bat Ski-Boat to finish the vehicle line honestly.

hey guys, how does this stuff compare to the hot toys tumbler? much nicer looking in person? I'm close to biting but just want to make sure its worth it.

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & (coming soon) BATMOBILE.

I personally like it way more than the HT tumbler.
The HT tumbler has that plastic look to it. The Toynami Batmobile is made off fiber glass but it looks like metal and it has that weight look to it. Pretty much it doesn't look cheap is what I'm trying to say.

It does cost a sweet 2G but I think it's worth it.

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & (coming soon) BATMOBILE.

I think it depends on what you are more of a fan of, I personally love the Keaton batmobile more so then the tumbler , it's more iconic I think, don't get me wrong the tumbler is awesome and huge , but to me it doesn't scream batman to me , what I like about it is that it has rubber wheels , the toynami does not, but the tumbler is mostly plastic , the toynami is fiberglass , I don't think you will go wrong with the toynami one , trust me the batwing is pure awesome , more so in person , I can only imagine the batmobile , it's going to rock

well you don't want to spray it to shiny chrome color , I used it on the aragorn crown I made for my cm and the color looks cool not mirror but a nice real metal look

Oh ok I got you. Yeah coz at first the word chrome made me thInk of shiny metal like the one you can see your own reflection like a mirror you know

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & (coming soon) BATMOBILE.

And another thing is also I wish they painted the headlight yellow instead using a yellow ligh bulbs.

Because in the real Batmobile that actually was used in the movies have yellow tinted lights.

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING.

To remove the cockpit is kinda tough for me. There are 4 pins that holds the canopy down to the body. Those pins can be pretty tight and hard to pull out. So be very careful, if you gonna use a flat screw driver make sure you put a thick paper over the surface for protection so it won't get scratched.

The paint on the pins could also chip off but it's totally fine, you can apply flat black over it after because I did that.

But yeah man, that's about it. Currently I am doing detailing decals for the Batwing. If you guys watch the movie, you will see little white markings on the fuselage of the Batwing.

I used a hobby extracto knife they work great such a thin blade , and. pins came out easy
Thanks for the Answer guys I'll try when mine arives :D
I updated my batwing last night to make it look more accurate. So I added the proper marking decals on the fuselage of the Batwing.

The decals are water slide and after the application I put a clear coat to seal the decals into the body. It looks 10 X better !!!!! This is a beast of an airplane !!!!

Here you go ladies & gentlemen !!!!!

Problem is I Live in the Netherlands.

I don't want the Batwing leaves the country otherwise I have to pay a whole lot of custom fee's.;)

But Thanks for the offer.

And hope the exhaust things from the Batmobile will be te right color becaue the standard silver looks a bit cheap if you'll ask me.

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & (coming soon) BATMOBILE.

Oh no problem man.

Yeah I will fix the color of the exhaust. I agree the silver is stupid and look cheap

Re: Toynami/Cinemaquette presents: BATWING & (coming soon) BATMOBILE.

Is this a sign of fear ? Disgust ? Ugliness ? Towards Toynami product ? I don't get it
