I can't wait to see more of these!!!!:clap Loving everyone's take on the Obi-Wan outfit. I imagine the Hasbro stuff wouldn't look too bad with it. They got better with some of their outfits as time went on and the boots in particular aren't too bad. Anyway, hope to see this thread blosom! How many heads went out like 30? That's 30 custom Obis dying to pop up!!! :woo

so are you guys pretty much using the Hasbro body and clothes???

Not me... I'm using the SSC stuff, bleached and such... with a DID scarf subbing at the inner tunic for now. Worn a lot tighter than Obi wore it in the film. :lol

Pics to come soon... just took a whole slew...

I'm sending my Obi HS over the pond to Darren this weekend. Those pics look great and I can't wait to see what Darren does with this HS.:D

I really like what I see.

My only critique is that the neck looks alittle too long. How difficult would it be to chop of a bit?

Not sure... I think it would take a bit of work, depending on what tools you had. But I can kinda see what you mean.

And Neil.... I can't wait to see what Darren does with it, too!!

Love it, Josh!!! Darth Maul's gonna die!!!!!:maul I almost regret not getting one of these. What did you use for the braid???

"Why do I sense we've picked up another pathetic lifeform?"

Thanks Xander! And the braid actually came with the sculpt and had to be glued on the back of the head. I painted the colored ties on it and tried my best to paint the braid itself. It's rubber-like so doesn't take paint all that well, but I think it turned out rather nice.

Now if I can only snap some good pics...:lol

Wow...That looks really good DA!! :monkey5

I finally got my head a few days ago @&$*ing USPS....:monkey4

Can we get a closer shot of just the saber? :google

How did you smoothe off the pewter on the end of lightsaber(where the chain is hooked to)?

Thanks man! The saber was hard work, but with minute cuts with a pair of scissors and I was able to carve the round end down to a nice shape. Here's the best pic of just the saber I have....

Did you end up doing a bondo job and smoothing the license info stamped in it?

No, just left it on there and hide it with the hand. But I'm sure it could be done very easily with either glue or some sort of sculpey type material.

:rock:rock:rock

I can't wait. I love the custom scene we got going on here.... watching you all take sunohc's great sculpt and put together a really cool looking cusotm figure is just joyful to me. And I can't wait to add my small part to someone's figure.

Josh... one thing though... the neck looks too long on whatever body you're using. Maybe the neck needs dremelling down a bit?

Josh,

That looks awesome, man. Nice work, as always.

I'll join the chorus of people saying the neck looks too long. Is that on the Dragon body?

Dan

Yep, that's the Dragon body.... If I had a Dremel, I'd attempt it... but no Dremel here. Really, the neck doesn't look all that long in person... but, I would attempt it if I had the equipment.

Could you refresh my memory--- is that the Hasbro Obi-Wan TPM lightsaber hilt?

Nope. It's a pewter promo keychain from Jedi Power Battles, given to me by IrishJedi as a gift. So I cut it from the chain, painted it and attached an SSC saber blade to it.
