Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

It was great for being a popcorn movie.

And Revenge of the Fallen is better the AOTC, because it doesn't ruin a respected villain.
No and no. Popcorn movies must be entertaining. ANY movie needs to be entertaining. These aren't. The action doesn't entertain me because I'm constantly reminded of the other crap I'm having to endure when watching these 'movies'.

And the prequels, however crappy they may be, are miles ahead of Bayformers in every aspect.

Michael Bay should be ashamed and if there's a hell, he's going there.

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

LOL. About on par with the maturity of the Bay former movies. LOL.

What a silly spiteful post over a dumb movie. :lol

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

I wouldn't even go so far as to call them popcorn movies. they're not at that level...

perhaps an unpopped popcorn movie?

because all it leaves you with is an empty feeling of disappointment, nuch like when you get a bag of popcorn, and it's mostly unpopped kernels.

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

It only leaves you with disappointment if you expect anything out of them. :dunno

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

That's a horrible argument. The whole point of going to see a movie is to be entertained. Transformers fails at that. Michael Bay fails at that.

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

So why in all of ****ing hell do you find Alien Resurrection good?

Your argument fails. Fails harder then any Transformers movie in the critics' eyes.

soo.. you're saying I shouldn't Expect anything good out of 10$ i spend to be entertained?

That's a pretty ****ty arguument there buddy.

it's not like we're hating on you for liking bad movies. it's ok. just admit they're bad.

Dude, come on. Where have you been? I've admitted a billion times these movies are retarded. But what's even more retarded are the people who keep expecting something different from them.

News flash, they aren't going to get better. They don't have too.

If you keep expecting something from them with the hope it's going to astound you beyond all reason, then holy hell, you're really into throwing your money away.
And that's your fault. Not Michael Bay's fault, not Steven Spielberg's fault, not even Marky Mark's fault. Yours.

I have never payed for a Twilight movie. I have no need to pay for a Twilight movie. I expect nothing from them, and I'll get nothing in return. So why should I ever pay to see it?

You both stated it's a ****ty argument, and said the same thing, which leads me to believe you enjoy watching these movies. Because from both of your posts, you have expressed interest in paying money to see them. Why else would you state things such as "It's entertainment!11 And it's not entertaining!11"

Some people think watching people die is entertaining. Would you pay money to see that?

I'm not even suggesting you shouldn't criticize them. Go ahead, they do deserve it. But if you don't like them, you really don't have to see them, or act like the films are forcing themselves on you.

So. Either see them, fork down the 10 bucks to watch something you hate, or stop acting like you have to see it.

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

Yes, it is retarded to expect movie to be good at some level. Jeezz...this world has gone so wrong.

It is also retarded that Bay in this case couldn't just admit that DOTM for example is going to be a same retarded and stupid movie as ROTF is. And none of the fans said that either. Why, if that is the case?

It was great for being a popcorn movie.

Lying is not cool. What you meant to say is; It was great for being a really silly retarded piece of a cold turd. Go see it if you like this kind of crap. Otherwise you will be disappointed

I mean, if someone says to me that movie A is a good popcorn movie, then I expect it to be at least that good. Thank God I didn't pay for seeing DOTM, but boy those fans and Bay were lying to me. I expected it to be much better than ROTF and it was almost equally bad.

News flash, they aren't going to get better. They don't have too.

And why not? Because we are no longer supposed to expect anything? For it seems to be like that. I don't understand that kind of a way of thinking. It makes movies even worse. That and the fact that most blockbusters are made for everyone. They just have to please everyone and because of that they just ends up being a total cluster*****s.

But I suppose nowadays it is silly and reterded if you hope that even big blockbuster movies (even if they base to a toyline) might be actually really good and astounishing. Whats wrong with that.

The only thing that irritates me is your "they're fine the way they are, they don't need to be any better" attitude. It's absolutely ridiculous. And you only say things like that because you have some sick obsession with Michael Bay, the untalented hack who doesn't know how to make a somewhat decent movie.

His transformer movies are terrible and disappointing. They could be incredible and fulfilling, easily.

We have oscar-worthy films about elves and dwarves and hobbits, a guy who dresses up like a bat...why can't we have the same of Transformers?
Can you imagine how wonderful that would be?
I don't even care if they're made in that scale though, as long as they're actually good movies. But they're not. They're just atrocious.

This respected franchise has been around for 20+ years. Twilight is a bunch of crap that was stolen from every other vampire/werewolf story out there, and mashed together a few years ago for ignorant teenage girls. So uh, yes, I'm definitely going to expect more from a Transformers movie. It has potential that has all been wasted.

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

Christopher Nolan's Transformers.

Transformers Begins

The Dark Prime

The Dark Prime Rises

Well maybe this could work. Now we can't really know this, since Bay continues doing these movies. We most likely get the same old same old.

I've missed what a Transformers film thread brings to a forum.
Glad that I can help. Though I don't see any reason why not to have different opinions. Sometimes those opinions might hurt a bit if you happens to like something others don't. I like transformers in general. Mainly I just collect those toys and occasionally buy some new comics by IDW. I don't like these movies much and I for one would have definetely wanted to see somewhat new approach here. But I quess that is not gonna happen.
I'm interested this TF-topic in general, so that is why I discuss and argue about things related to it. I leave for example Twilight topics alone, since I have 0 interest in those. I couldn't care less.

I still think that argument "It only leaves you with disappointment if you expect anything out of them" is not very good. What does that even means? You just can't use that argument to kind of end the whole discussion and like it should explain everything.

But yeah...whatever, since this movie is happening anyways and god knows what other battleships and fast&furrys it will spawn (in other words similar brainless and mind numbing action).

So don't ****ing see it? What's so hard about that?

It's a series made for children. ***** about it all you want, but stop acting like you have to see it. :lol

Do you have to see Twilight too? :lol
