Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

That analogy makes no sense whatsoever for a variety of reasons.
Uhm, and why exactly?

Evil robot alien murdering thousands of people. Terrorist murdering thousands of people. They're both horrible creatures who are slaughtering thousands of innocent people.
Why the hell do they deserve a fair fight?
Like all of the people in the twin towers had a fair fight.. ha

Optimus, like Superman, is not the type of..person to just slaughter all of his enemies unarmed really, and I haven't seen TF3, but from what I have seen/read..it seems justified. Since it was basically the end of the friggin world and he was going to do whatever it took to save it...after all they had gone through, he wasn't going to give them a break anymore.

And I don't consider the person who killed Osama to be "quite the opposite of heroic or noble".

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

David Lynch's Transformers. I'd see it.

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

I didn't even bother watching number 3... my bad? Or did I save myself a headache?

I watched number 2 whilst absolutely shxt-faced, so it was kinda enjoyable, if not somewhat blurry. But I did attempt to watch it again sober and found it quite irritatingly nonsensical.

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

Whatever you think of Bay's movie-making skills (or lack thereof), the guy made lots of people lots of money. Folks are gonna pay to see whatever he puts out if its got the name Transformers attached. It makes complete sense from the production company's standpoint to bring back as much as they can from the previous films.

:exactly:

Michael Bay and Hasbro want cash, and they'll make cash even if they continue with the same final result shown below...

It's the same process used in making Twilight and Tween Popstars.

Good Taste is Dead.

It's a shame, i was hoping for a "Transformers" movie being made. :(

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

The Transformers movies (not including 1984) are pretty awful as it is and now they're talking about back-to-back sequels.

Back-to-back sequels are nearly always bad films,

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

It is very clear that Bay is done with TF too,he killed off Megatron and Starscream so who is left for Optimus to have epic fights with?

I hoped we'd see a final and long epic showdown between Optimus and Megatron in DOTM but that didn't happen.

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

Shia LaBeouf gets into fight

iunno.. looked more like Shia LaBeouf laying on the ground while some dude beat the living ____ out of him as opposed to a "fight". :lol

Technically Megatron was "killed" in TF, Optimus was "killed" in ROTF. Transformers are like 80's Slasher villains, they aren't really dead, just waiting. I'm sure they'll be some loophole to bring everyone they want to back.

Except Jazz, apparently. He's dead like Bucky. Oh, wait...

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

Unicron could easily bring everyone back from the dead if they wanted to go that route. Or they could invent new villains for Optimus to gleefully execute as women and children look on in horror.

True, but what i meant was that i think Bay's INTENTION was to end it in DOTM when Megatron's Head was pulled off,it's a clear statement by Bay that that was it for Megatron.
But yeah i guess some Alien technology will bring him back to life...AGAIN.

I think we all need to keep the whole idea of comic book characters dying in perspective.

To sum it up...it has been long established that there is no true death in comic books...disintegrations are not even final.

Except in the case of Chewbacca.:)

Uncle Ben is still dead and has been since 1963.

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

In the films he was like Obi-Wan Kenobi. :monkey5

Re: Transformers 4: The Search for More Money

Megatron didnt do anything when he was alive anyway.. except in the first one. He was like a retard in part 3 and was the Fallen's b*tch in part 2.

What a missed opportunity.
