Megatron...

I just read the sad news that Frank Welker (Original Megatron Voice) will not be voicing Megatron, but that Hugo Weaving will be Megatron instead! I so wanted for both the original voices to do battle once again, but it looks like it ain't happenin'. :(

I actually saw these these earlier on ign today. I was gonna post em but I just never got around to doing it. You got around to it though. :lol They look good. I like the Optimus one. The look of Megatron though... it's different.

Yeah, it's different, but I think once we see it on screen it will look awesome. I've read that he looks scary as hell and I like that! :rock

They do look great but I don't really like the "profile" view they went with. You can tell who they are as Megatron "helmet" style is somewhat evident but I really don't think it was the best viewpoint to go with.

It's just a tease, I'm sure as we get closer to the release date they'll put out better posters.

For now though I think these rock! :rock

Man I feel old. TMNT bored me silly and I have no enthusiasm for this film at all. I guess the nostalgia factor plays a huge part in enjoying these types of projects. And that can only kick in if you were exposed to it as a kid.

That Prime poster kicks ass. I really need to start picking up movie posters again. I don't think I have gotten any current posters since ROTS.

That's why I know I will enjoy them. :)

Nostalgia I think is going to be the problem... This is Michael Bay's version of giant robots and he's said in an interview that he was never a fan and he wasn't even too sure about who were what--- I'm hoping against hope that this will be more than just Gobots on acid and that it will in fact touch on my nostalgic view of these characters who I grew up loving (Shai--- I'm your age as well and these things kicked butt when I fist picked up the comic in '84/'85)---however I've seen the images of Starscream and he was always my favorite--- I wasn't too happy with what I saw from a nostalgic perspective. Maybe I'll be wrong (I hope)--:google

I just missed Transformers as toys. I was in jr. high/high school in the mid-80s and had sworn off toys.

I remember seeing Masters of the Universe in the same aisle as my beloved Six Million Dollar Man, but even then the all plastic action figures just weren't interesting to me.

The Transformer were (along with Thundercats, Voltron, He-Man, Robotech and G.I. Joe) my childhood and to see them on screen in a live action movie means the world to me. I know people have been *****ing about Michael Bay since day one, but i have no doubt that this movie will kick ass and that's coming from a HUGE Transformers fan! :rock

Bleh. The designs are too busy for me. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I imagine it will be a fun movie too watch though.

and slow motion panning camera shots! :rock

And the American flag blowing patriotically behind someone as fighter jets scream overhead--- just as the camera does a 360-----

Busy is the right word to describe it. They didn't have to look cartoonish-- but you see some of the recent toys of Starscream and how accurately he looks/transforms from plane mode to robot mode--- It's a shame that that won't be transfered on to the screen. Oh well...fireballs and big booms-- at least it'll make for a good action movie. A Transformers movie? Well , we'll have to wait and see.

And Ill Jedi--- that's coming from a BIGGER Transformers fan.:monkey1
