why do we need human stories anyway? i just wanna see giant transforming robots fighting each other over energy resources while the humans all run for their lives. is that too much to ask?

The humans were a bit annoying, but the rest of the two episodes were absolutely fantastic. I didn't expect it to be THAT good. Loved Welker's new Megatron voice, bit reminiscent of the G1 one, but quite menacing.

I'm shocked at what they did with Cliffjumper though. I thought that the heavy focus on him in the ads and the comic book was because he was a main character, not because he was going to die and come back as a zombie! Real shame too because I was liking him a lot, and it doesn't help that Bumblebee is pretty much a non-character, more so then his movie counterpart.

Saw it last night and to be honest, Im tired of Cullen as Prime. Dont get me wrong, he is a legend as Optimus, but im getting tired of him.

Concerning the show, it reminded me of the Armada and Energon cartoon for some reason.

And concerning the Beast Wars commentary, that is the best Transformers storyline ever. Better than G1. The models and animation were not the greatest, but the story is THE best; could not wait for the next episode. They should have brought the Optimus Primal and Megatron voice actors for this show instead. Well, Megatron sounded fine.

Enjoyed it so far. Thought it was pretty great really and the digital art of the cartoons was really good. Great seeing a good Transformers cartoon on air again. Only issue was Prime having a mouth.

I want to agree with you here, but when I was a small child, the human characters probably played an important role in keeping me connected and giving me someone to relate to. As long as they are targeting children, I figure we're gonna get human kids in these stories.

Yeah, they should get rid of stale old Superman, Captain America, He-Man, Duke, Lion-O, and Papa Smurf while their at it. Replace them with some Beast Wars robots!

Prime isn't Transformers to me. He isn't anywhere near my favorite character. And there are plenty of characters. He's had plenty of time to shine, I'm simply bored with him. There isn't anything wrong with wanting to see something different.

I actually enjoyed what I saw of Animated's Prime - it was a fresh take on the character.

It's funny that you mentioned Superman - Prime is like Superman to me - I find them both overrated and boring, only as good as their villains or interesting when they have a good team around them.

How in the hell can anyone be tired of Cullen as Prime? Thats a major WTF moment. Probably someone who is relatively young and missed Transformers as a kid.

I do understand people getting tired of Optimus always being in the leading role though. He's one of the characters that pretty much always stays the same, with only a few exceptions here and there (TFA the biggest, but he never really grew character-wise). It would be nice having a show that focuses on a new leader, along with new characters, and have Optimus fulfill the same role Magnus did in TFA (and put Megatron in a similar position). Hell, maybe even make a cartoon that focuses on Rodimus for once, or the Wreckers!

Well, for the next show at least. For now I'm glad to have Cullen back as Prime on TV.

If this show needs anything it's more Optimus and Megatron and less kids and angry Arcee. I'd love a Soundwave with a face to go with my request for more Cullen and Welker.
It's funny that this Autobot lineup is essentially the same as Animated except they replaced the cool Cyber Ninja Prowl with Arcee and she's not growing on me.
Oh, and Bumblebee not being able to talk sucks. I do like the Dark Energon story line.

after watching all 5 episodes i have to say it was pretty good. much better than Animated, which i couldn't sit through 5 minutes.


but i wish they would have used a different lineup of TF's besides the usual "dumb" bulkhead and "cranky" ratchet and "mute" Bumblebee. i was hoping cliffjumper was gonna be a main character and then they killed him off right away.
