I thought the last portion of the third movie was pretty good. I wish Shia lebouf could have stayed the line if the first mivie.. it just got really stupid in the sequels how he was written and his damn parents.

I paid for the first one, saw the second once for free at home and decided that was quite enough. I'm sure I've made this exact post already but **** it. For as long as they tirelessly pump them out despite their sheer tedium and mediocrity I will be here to repeat myself in kind :yess:

I sat thru part 4 twice in a day in a theater.

With that kind of courage, stamina, endurance and stupidity I could lead the army on D-Day! :lol

Come on, you know that won't happen. The 4th movie is arguably the worst of the lot and it made billions.

Which is unreal. It was unwatchable. The wife and I couldn't even make it through the first 35 minutes or so. It was an absolute dumpster fire. After the first one, they went down hill fast.

Truer words have never been spoken. If ever a franchise is in desperate need of a complete reboot, it's this one. It needs to be buried in that giant hole under the barn that conveniently was big enough for Prime to hide in.

lol khev is only like 101% right

You know I didn't go to see them to find the meaning of life I went to see great 3D and boy did that Chicago scene deliver that in spades.

Its kinda baffling that this movies, being so bad, make that much money.

The first one at least had some slightly decent humor. The rest were just boring and annoying.

Look like more of the same old stuff, the movies have all been the same. Start off with some lame teenage drama, some imminent threat, insert lots of lame toilet humor, and then have the Autobots fight a nameless army with lots of explosions at the end. It's too bad, I'm a big TF fans, but I could care less about the live action films.

Yes, it's one of the mysteries of the universe. How and why do these films make so much money? How did Jurassic World also made so much money? No one knows. :dunno

I wasn't a fan of the show or the toy line, but I always thought they looked cool. If the film characters had the animated designs, I'd probably be a fan of these films because at least the characters would look cool.

Ill give Jurassic World the benefit of being released many years and nostalgia kicking in for many, myself included. I also kind of enjoyed it a bit.

But the Transformers went like this:
Acceptable, very bad, bad, super bad.

That was for me. And the humor in the first one was one of the main things that impact it being acceptable

I don't know what it is about these movies but I get pumped up and love seeing the fights. I know transformers fans loathe these movies and I don't know to much about them until the first movie so I guess I'm one of those guys lol

nemesis prime is the evil prime, but this looks to be the real thing under unicrons control, which is the giant planet we see, could be someone else but it's most likely unicron. He's the one that brought megatron back to life and turned him into galvatron in the original cartoon, which is what it looks like is happening here but with prime. They'll most likely have to break Unicrons influence over prime and then prime will be back to his old self.

Nice! Good to know. Appreciate the insight. :rock

Whatever happened to having fun with bad movies.

The visuals alone make them a fun 2 1/2 hours.

Honestly, I have a blast watching these. The plots may not be the best, but visually, they're some of the best movies I've seen in theaters.

I'm sold on the next however many they make.

Agree with that, and the order. The first one actually managed to almost establish who both sides of the Transformers were. Needed a bit more fleshing out, especially with the Decepticons, but it was on the right track.

Every Autobot was an individual, and they were large underdogs individually to the Deceps, but teamwork and the silly ending sequence with Megatron Sam won out. Suddenly DOTM comes along. Too much time spent on the dumb twins, Prime and Bee are now OP compared to their Decep counterparts, and the rest of the Autobots are just there to shoot the crap out of nameless drones.

I agree but in the case of Transformers I think the biggest killer of fun IS that two and a half hour run time. That's just obnoxious. If Bay could crank these out with 90-100 minute run times they'd be much more susceptible to being a fun diversion from time to time. But with all the teen comedy/job interviewing/military/political subplots he throws in I just don't even bother.

I totally agree, I just want the robot on robot action. The trailer did nothing for me, felt no different than the last 2 movies. I don't want to sit through an hour and a half of pointless human drama and bad jokes just to get to the action. Even so, I'm not even impressed with the action sequences anymore. They pretty much end up the same, every one of the movies ended up with the Autobots taking out a nameless army of Decepticons, 3 out of 4 of these movies ended with some destructive battle in a city, it's been done over and over again.
