Well I wasn't interested till all this controversy start, so I watched and like it for what it was, entertainment.

I have nothing against it, but I usually shy away from movies that people get all worked up about it, plus, I don't go to very many dramas in the theater. Don't need to see those on the big screen.

I have to say, that is one thing that does really bother me nowadays, that so many people think nothing of pirating movies.

A large number of people worked on these films, many of them don't make a lot of money, unlike the actors or director. If you must see a movie for free, than wait til it comes to your library. If it's not worth the ticket price to you, then don't see it.

To me, it's no different than shoplifting.

Agreed. But those who worked did get paid for the work before it released and won't get any of the money from home entertainment sales so pirating isn't taking money away from them.

It could have an affect on future budgets for movies but I don't see that affecting the working joe.

I think pirating a movie that barely broke even or took a loss at the box office isn't good but pirating a movie that made a $billion+ isn't going to hurt the movie or those involved all it would do is not give them more profit beyond their great existing profit

Not a "flick" per se, but I haven't seen the Breaking Bad series. I know, I'm probably the last person to not have seen this, but I will get around to it. Already on my list. :)

47 ronin
winter soldier
guardians
newest transformers or LAST gi joe movie's
new judge dredd or robocop
new total recall remake

I don't know that I would refer to some of these (or most of what's been posted thus far) as "trendy." Maybe my definition differs, but I was expecting people to comment about skipping flavor-of-the-month films, not classics... nor blatant money-maker reboots and sequels that no one cared about to begin with.
