The deal was that someone was most likely recasting some of his work and selling on eBay

It's OK for him to take a good break from it though, I don't know how he managed to do all the Sideshow work plus his own projects and be able to manage doing casting and mailing things out to people, that would kill me.

Recasters suck. Thanks for the update DV.

The 3D printer I bought should arrive hopefully next month sometime, I'll test a print of it and hopefully it will have the quality I need for Vera

Otherwise I'm not sure there's an option--the place I used to print the Mal pistols increased their prices---not that it was really possible there anyways, Vera was much more expensive to print than the pistol. But if I can print it myself it'll be much cheaper.

I am still interested in two copies.

Wanted to show off my new Book shirt. Star Puffs made this for me, and take my word for it, it's fantastic. This is the one piece I've been missing from my Book figure. Thank you Victoria, my Book is now finished. Don't ask, she's not going to make anymore.

This is what he'll look like sitting on the shelf, wearing his cloak as he appears in the opening of the Firefly pilot.

Thanks again Victoria.

Wow. Congratulations it looks great.

Nathan is painting my Mal head right now, but since I just got orders to Germany and I have to scale back some things, I have to sell the rest. :-(

Can't you just pack the heads up? Go back to them later? I think the cool thing about these things is that they don't expire.

I could, yeah. But the movers the Army hires are notorious for breaking and losing things, plus I have so many unfinished projects...
It would be nice to keep em, but at this point I can't justify it. I just wish I had 50 posts so I could put them up here, but right now, I've just got them up on other sites.

what heads do you have and do you have any of the clothing etc to go with them?

Haha yea. Im in the military myself so I can understand how much of a pain TMO can be. (I have a friend whose whole shipment was lost, literally losing everything they owned) But still, id still agree that you should hang on to the sculpts. You may regret getting rid of them.
However if you are still serious about selling them, id be interested depending on what you have; so id like to see a link.

I would be interested in an Inara sculpt if you have one you are getting rid of.

looks like he is keeping them. I had a deal to buy them all from him but he backed out saying he couldn't part with them.

Well I don't blame him. Trev did a beautiful job on each and every one of these.

Have you all tried to contact the Man himself? I don't blame him for being gun-shy (recasters suck just like plagiarists and should be called out and made to feel like the dix they are). But maybe Trev can help you out. Lord knows what he charges for them is extremely reasonable, so much so that it boggles the mind anyone would think to recast them.

its not so much about getting the heads, its about all the other parts that are very hard to find. Not to mention I have a bad taste in my mouth after selling off a figure at a loss to pay for the deal and then having it pulled out from under me after agreeing to a sale. Guess thats why they rules about needs 50 posts of more to sell

Oh, I get you. To be honest I have all the FF heads except for the variants but have not started any of them yet for this very reason that the clothing and accessories (not to mention the bodies) all seem hard to find/make and/or expensive. The most I've done myself is pick up a muscle body from SS for Jayne when they had free shipping and that $25 loyalty coupon (so it was $30) and a clone narrow shoulder TT from eBay for like $18. I was also very fortunate to get one of Victoria's Hawaiian Wash shirts while still available. But knowing how hard/expensive it will be to do Zoe, who is my favorite crewmember, I am doubting I'll ever start. But at least I have all the heads if I ever do.

Sorry to hear about your commerce troubles. I've been fortunate to not get burned yet and have met some amazing trading partners here but with the high traffic, unfortunately I think it's just a matter of time before we all get burned.

I had the same problem when I first started my crew. It seemed like such a daunting task to track down all of the pieces that I procrastinated and let the heads just sit for a year. Then earlier this year I resolved to put a signifigant dent in the crew by Christmas, and since then they have been coming along great.

What I suggest (and what helped me) was to stop looking at the crew as one giant project and instead just take it one piece at a time. Tell yourself that you are going to buy one or two things for it per week (some weeks are definatly more expensive than others. haha). Before you know it your figures will be coming together.

Sad but unfortunatly true. A couple years ago I bought two Hot Toys figures from a member for $250. He jerked me around with delays in shipment and reimbursement past the time when paypal could retract the payment, and never visited the boards again.

I am not looking at the crew as one giant project, I am specifically looking at Zoe. That one figure is basically impossible to complete without someone making a custom outfit, her leather vest is not something that is out there to purchase as far as I can tell. I already have Mal, Jayne, and River put together, if it were possible to make Zoe accurately I would have no problem buying the rest of the crew to bash at my leisure.

I talked to Chad a few weeks ago and he said he will hopefully be getting back to making the Firefly clothing around the end of summer. So you should be able to get a Zoe vest then. I definatly hope so, as I just started my Zoe and could use one myself.

Glad to hear he responded to somebody. I emailed him several weeks ago and never heard anything.

Hey everyone...
Thanks for all of the emails and posts keeping the Firefly projects going....

Yes it is true..as soon as the summer season is over, I will get back to doing more Firefly goods. Right now I am shooting for September 1st to get back to things. I am wrapping up quite a bit of stuff and am getting ready to start a major project development but...nevertheless, I will get them going again.
I still have a list going and those who are on the list already are still there...
Please dont barrage me with emails here in the next week with add ons and am I on the list questions.
I am going to refrest my original post for all of the Firefly goods I have been making along with the next on the list details.
At that point, I will take add ons to the list.
THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE....

I HOPE TO SEE SOME FRESH GOODS FROM TREVOR AGAIN WHEN HE SLOWS DOWN A BIT AS WELL...AND I WILL BE SURELY ADDING MORE CLOTHING TO THE CREW..
