It's one thing to see it painted up, but to see the portrait in its raw form -- WOW! Trevor continues to sculpt with such care for attention to detail and accuracy. The proportions are dead on. It is really amazing to see pieces of art like this produced at such a miniaturized scale.

Trevor is the man!! :bow It just continues to amaze me though how crucial paint apps are. Not that they're bad on Lando, but just that they are really key in general.

It really is true. The best sculpt will look like crap without decent paint apps. And of course it's sometimes possible to make a mediocre sculpt look better with really good paint apps. I think in general Sideshow has been stepping up the sculpts recently, but they need to make sure the paint keeps up.

Yeah the sculpts have been really good lately, it's just always the paint apps on the actual production pieces that worry me. Maybe that's the disadvantage of having these churned out at a factory, but SS must be able to do something to ensure the final pieces look just as good as the prototype paint wise.

It's remarkable how much the whole line has improved just in the past year alone, a lot of it due to Trevor's work, sure, but in general. :rock

Lando sculpt is awesome....not sure how you get better than that?:monkey5

Group pics are always awesome to me. I own most of those, and it always reminds me how good this line is, overall

Yea, I still think Palps is the best human likeness of the line so far, but Lando might challenge him.

There's no doubt that Trevor is the man, I think all of his sculpts have been amazing.

It's true about the paint apps masking good sculpts too. I have repainted a few Hasbro 1/6 heads and even some of those, once stripped of the factory paint, were pretty darned good underneath! Look at what a good paint job on those can look like:

awesome display with urself.....:chew:chew:chew...glad to know the other fellow who collects this 12"inches and displayed it with theirself...

If I find out that Trevor was involved in the sculpt, I'm already tempted to buy the figure/piece, even if I don't collect that particular line. He's that good and he's won me over completely with his amazing sculpting talent.

There are some figures that I wouldn't mind a "re-do" by him...

That's a beautiful collection you have there, man :rock
I love how they are displayed together.

These repaints are indeed very nice. Especially like Leia as Boushh. Hard to belive these came from Hasbro.

Trev does a great job but lets not forget SS has several sculptors that aren't too bad themselves. Mat Falls is pretty damn good, Tim Miller is one of the best out there, and they've had folks like Andy B or Olaf (spelling???) working for them.

I don't think anyone is putting down any of those great talents, though. I think everyone is simply impressed with Trevor's skills, especially at such a young age.

I think the artists are all great and they all have their strengths, I have to agree with Pix, Oluf's sculpts have that something extra that makes them look so damn real. Plus Oluf is a cool guy.
