TRIAD TOYS?

I'vw never seen this company before so sorry if folks have already discussed it but I do do search first.

What do you guys reckon about these guys?

I don't think they are nowwhere near as good as Hot Toys but they do have some interesting figures going on.

And they are quite doll like though.

They could use better headsculpts. Most of them are ugly as sin. Perfect comic proportion body tho

Yeah I totally agree! The Female faces are not very nice at all.

They've been around for a while now. Here are some reviews for the most recent figures from MWCtoy:

They've recently announced some big licenses, so that's pretty exciting. They're not on the level of Hot Toys or Enterbay, but they're not priced to be.

The only one I'm even remotely interested in is the LOLA: G4H 12 INCH FIGURE.

I think the real hair is me putting off.

Yeah...I cancelled my preorder with them in Dec 08.....well, it's Dec again and a year later and still no sign of the figures.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but how are the suits? For men, are they good quality?

I think they're much better tailors than figure makers. Their clothing sets are almost always excellent and made with high quality materials.

Me too... Haven't heard anything about these in 6 months. Very interested to see how Fuu turns out.

Triad toys is one of the better "home brew" 1/6th companies out there. while not as big as hot toys, their products are VERY VERY GOOD. their tailoring is top-notch, and their bodies are very nice. there is one issue with them, however.

Like most home brew companies, they take FOREVER to release new product.

As for the real hair, they use Japanese Saran hair, which is the same thing that hot toys uses on their figures with real hair ( silken FLoss, the newer hot angel figure bodies, etc)

their new body, the Alpha body ( which the viking girl is on) looks like it will likely be the BEST 1/6th female body on the market, once they release it. Looks nice, and is HIGHLY articulated.

Yes, Triad's wait is killer. I've heard stories. I have never ordered anything from them and don't know if I want to. I don't like the wait.

They are known for great tailoring and rare items, like their jet Li, Colin and Theodore DX, and many of their female figures, which sell out very quickly. They are releasing their new Evo and Eva bodies which look to be some of the best figure bodies ever produced.

You must haven't checked out many of their females then,
thats one of the things I enjoy is their female face sculpts,
not all are always good, but a healthy amount of them are.

Gotta agree with Lerath666, I have the LOLA, great figure, quality clothing (cough). As for the HS with hair, gotta disagree with Eamon, for the price great paint aps, not HT standards, but for the price BLOWS SS outta the water and not by just a little.

This is 100% correct. Their suits even fit HT's bodies better than a HT's made suit. Excellent materials and tailoring imo. The best i've ever encountered in 1/6 scale.
