Re: Triad's House Figure.....

oddly enough though, that little preview pic triad used to have on their website looked pretty good. I dont know if its the same figure or what.

Re: Triad's House Figure.....

Well, there is a bit a hope still on House. Some things said in the
Triad forum points to this:

Even though this sculpt was at the show. The figure was a one off and they just put it
together for the show, to present as a prototype figure.

Soooooo. I'm not writing the sculpt or anything else on the
figure off just yet, it will more than likely be reworked many times over. :banana

Re: Triad's House Figure.....

They'd have been better off not having anything but a headless naked bod and a card that reads: HOUSE coming soon...

Re: Triad's House Figure.....

Well that's good news, now that I'd given up, (damn Howes, and can't afford Serangs) and bought Ada's head and cane. Thanks for the link to the cane Ike. I'll have my House finally.

I don't know why these company's choose to display a prototype that doesn't measure up. It does more harm than good, and you know what sticks to a blanket. Surely they can hold out until they have something they'll really be supplying, or is it just to gain a market evaluation? I'm sure people want Triad to succeed. I just don't see the sense of doing it in this way. Any publicity is good publicity, or is it?

I think a small company like Triad, now getting heavy into licensing
most likely feels more pressure to have something to show.
With the disclaimer (just like HT) that product shown may not be final product.

I think its fine. I do the same with my customs. Sometimes I even
sell a few prototypes and ask the buyers to take a short survey
about what they like and dislike about the figure. I do a certain
number of those to get a snapshot on what needs improvement the most.
Because as the artist, you sometime get blinded by your own
work...(all of us know it's true), so it's good to have some outside input.

I think the Toyfair is kind of like that, but with instant feedback.
The only thing is; any changes you make on a licensed product you
have to get approved, which delays the release. But once the improvements
do happen, I think it shows the companies willingness to listen to it's customer base.
And I don't know anyone who wouldn't wait longer, if they could get the figure they
have pictured in their head :D

Anyway, I'm excited about the possibilities.

Sure, I can't wait to see the improvements they make too.

Re: Triad's House Figure.....

Man, I'm gonna have to see a MUCH better House sculpt before I bother. My 2 main wants are Lisa Cuddy and Wilson, gonna have to see them before I commit, too.
Foreman looks WAAAAAAYYYY too skinny, too. I'm a House nut, seen every episode numerous, numerous times, this is not a line that will satisfy a real House fan so far.

Re: Triad's House Figure.....

That figure would only look like House if they replaced the actor with somebody else. Yeesh. Foreman looks better but still off, face is too elongated.

Even better, make the sculpt look like Hugh Laurie and it could be used for a House figure.

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

I don't think that pic is of their House figure. I believe that is the prototype of the father from Stuart Little. He just hasn't shaved and put his glasses on yet.

Don't think the Foreman is much better to be honest. At least not from any pix I've seen yet. Other than being a black male he's as close to being the coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers as he is to beeing Omar Epps. :monkey3

OMG sorry late to the game but House is such a character with so many defining facial expression and they choose a smiling one???? I would so buy any of his figure as long as I feel like he is giving me crap for something or taunting me but smiling at me that's the least I want him/it to do :p
