I tried the guitar stand like the one above but didn't like the legs of the stand sticking out so far. I instead went with a large Kaiser doll stand. I had to modify it slightly by bending out the metal waist support and shoving a black pen cap into the tube to keep the waist support at the max height without sliding down from the weight of the Gremlin. I did end up using the foam tubing from the guitar stand to cushion the waist support on the Kaiser stand though (the pic below was taken before I added the foam cushion tubing to the waist support).

Not bad, I guess it depends where you're going to stand him and what room you have. Mine are ok for now, but that may change when I move....

Looks good, you can cut the neck retainer off, you won't need it. I think it's only rubber. You want the neck rest to be just under his head.

Hello, today I finished restoring Evil. I bought it cheap but the paint was in poor condition. I did the work with acrylics with added latex and fixed with transparent gloss rubber paint. I like the final result.

Nice one!

When I got mine, I contacted Chris Walas on FB and asked how to maintain the rubber. He first suggested a leak stopper I couldn't easily get hold of, so I looked at alternatives. I saw that some people had protected props and replicas with clear polyurethane. I asked him about that, and he said it was ok. After that, I never got around to buying any or coating them because I just didn't have the space I needed to work on them. They're standing by a window that doesn't get any direct light through it (I close the curtains to stop reflections on my TV.), and they are both holding up. If that situation changes, then I will both protect and repaint them as you have. The clear polyurethane will be what I'll be painting on, so I shouldn't have any problem using ordinary modelling acrylics.
